Gwen Stefani of No Doubt will be joining Pharrell Williams as a judge in Season 7 of The Voice, replacing Christina Aguilera, who is pregnant, according to multiple sources. She has reportedly signed on for the upcoming seventh season of The Voice, which will begin taping this June, though there’s no word yet if she’ll be joining the regular cycling around of judges that fans of The Voice have come to expect from the show.

Though Christina Aguilera, 33, who announced her pregnancy this past February, had planned to come back for the seventh season of The Voice, she has decided to take it easy instead, and enjoy some time off while she prepares to become a mother for the second time with fiancé Matt Rutler, who she became engaged to a week after she made her pregnancy public.

After Christina announced that she wouldn’t be available for the seventh season of The Voice, there was a scramble to find a suitable replacement. Fortunately, Gwen Stefani was available to fill the much-coveted seat, and she will be the show’s latest new judge, after Cee Lo Green announced that he wouldn’t be returning and Pharrell Williams was signed to take his place.

Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are both expected to be back for the seventh season of The Voice, though according to a recent report from a source to Hollywoodlife.com, Adam Levine may decide at some future time to sit out for at least one season of the hit NBC reality singing competition series.  Gwen Stefani Will Replace Christina Aguilera for Season 7 of The Voice

According to the same Hollywoodlife.com source, if Adam leaves The Voice permanetly, like Cee Lo Green did, that wouldn’t necessarily mean that Usher would take over from him. The producers of the series might get someone entirely new to replace Levine if that were to happen.

This is not the first time that Christina Aguilera has decided to take off a season from being a judge on The Voice. She did it in 2013, after being a judge on the series for three seasons, with the intention of focusing more on her family and being a mom.

Gwen Stefani will likely be a great replacement for Christina Aguilera for the upcoming season of The Voice, but Christina Aguilera has already signed and will be returning for the eighth season.

NBC had reportedly wanted Christina Aguilera to stay on as the judge for the seventh season of The Voice, and TMZ has reported that she wanted to, but she has changed her mind since then. According to TMZ, Aguilera has already experienced some difficulties with being pregnant for the second time.

It wasn’t very long ago that Gwen stefani gave birth to her third child, Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale. That was just this past February 28. The Hollaback Girl already looks as if she’s gotten her figure back.

The Voice has seen some major shake-ups in its rotation of judges lately. Christina Aguilera will be missed, but the “Beautiful” singer, Gwen Stefani, is a terrific replacement, if only to fill in for a single season.
