This 'Harry Potter' Theory About Santa Is Crazy

Happy holidays, season's greetings, etc. It's been a tough year, so I thought I'd bring you a gift. A magical gift. A special gift that will have you debating minute details about a fictional universe, but hey, we could all stand to be distracted for a few minutes right now. Believe me when I say that this Harry Potter theory about Santa Claus will blow your mind. Like, make some room in your schedule right now, because you're going to spend some serious time mulling this over.

The theory first arose on Reddit's r/HarryPotter boards yesterday, and it's blown up overnight. User arumple presented the initial speculation that the concept of Santa coming down the chimney is clearly the muggle interpretation of Santa using floo powder. Oh, Santa is a wizard. You have to agree with that thesis for the rest of this to work. Predictably, the thread exploded, because of course Santa uses floo powder, because of course Santa is a wizard and not a 1,000-year-old elf.

Fam, the evidence? It's overwhelming. Like, I'm pretty completely convinced that every logistics issue about Santa Claus has now been addressed and answered, and it all works, and there should never be any questions about it ever again in the future.

How does Santa bend time?

I MEAN

How does Rudolph's nose glow?

MAKES SENSE

OR WAIT DOES IT

OKAY COOL THAT ALSO MAKES SENSE

And then user TheSortingSombrero kind of blew the whole thing out of the water...

I've just been staring at this, mouth open, for like 20 minutes. ST. NICHOLAS FLAMEL?! I'm dying. Undetectable bag extension charm? I can't. Coal that's transfigured into a present? AHH! And if you were wondering why Wizard Santa would do this in the first place, well... there's an answer for that, too.

Am I the only one overwhelmed by all of this?
