Mermaid.... that's what I call myself. I'm like a mermaid who was cursed to become a human and not allowed to touch the sea anymore or else, my feet will turn into a tail. So, a month ago before October 1, 2016, my girl friend (Jazelle) and I are already planned to go to La Union. We made an itinerary for a quick getaway to escape from the city.

HOW TO GO:

We arrived at Viron Transit (Cubao) around 3:00 AM and got to San Fernando, La Union around 8:00 AM. It was a fast ride with only one stop over. We were able to witness the majestic sunrise when we had our one and only stop over at the first town of La Union coming from Pangasinan. The exact fare that we paid for that convenient ride was 357PHP.

WHERE TO STAY:

Finally, after 5 hours of sleeping, sight seeing and eating inside the bus.... the long wait is over! Touchdown ELYU! We saw this newly built building along the National Highway at Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union called Planet G Hotel, wanting to have a good rest, we went in to check it.

We were greeted by 2 accommodating lovely ladies (ALL SMILES). Jazelle and I already had a good vibes of the hotel because of the hospitality we experienced. Then, when they showed us the room for 2 we were very satisfied! The room is pretty cool, with 2 single posh bed. The bathroom is clean and the air conditioner is properly working.

NO MORE HESITATIONS! It's a yes! We stayed there and no regrets. We paid 1,700PHP (for two) for our overnight stay.

Have a taste of different culture | Ma - Cho Temple, San Fernando La Union

BREATHTAKING! That's how I've always described this place. I've been here 2 years ago but the feels that it gives me is always the same. I have different belief when it comes to religion but I will always be fascinated with how temples were built. The interior is so amazing, that I can notice even the small carvings of the walls.

Imagine a HUGE temple, settled on a high place... and on top of it, you can witness the sea horizon from afar.

No more further talking.... I will let my pictures show you how I beautiful this place was in my eyes.

Witness the GOLDEN hour | Urbiztondo, San Juan La Union

Why do I always love to go to the beach? My one and only answer is...... SUNSET. Took a walk along the beach, watched other people while they are enjoying themselves .... may it be surfing, chatting, sun bathing and just doing nothing.

Here it goes..... one of the most golden sunset that I witnessed my entire life!

OPEN-MINDED ka ba?! | Flotsam Jetsam Kitchenbar, San Juan La Union

So darkness came..... A guy friend (Kim) of ours arrived, and it's the time of the day wherein our liver is so much prepared for alcoholic drinks. I had other group of friends (Mad, Mico and Pau) from Manila who were at ELYU during our stay so we decided to just join them.

I've been here a couple of times before but this time, Flotsam and Jetsam was newly renovated so I was amazed with how cool the place turned out. The hostel and the Kitchenbar have different entrance, unlike before that you have to pass through one entrance to go there. Then, more space have been allocated for the Kitchenbar, that gives more opportunity for those who were not staying from their hostel and just wanted to hang out (LIKE US).

At first, we just ordered a bucket of Redhorse beer, then another one, then one more, then ........ we don't know anymore!!!! Hahaha! In our group, not to brag but we have 3 surfers (Kim, Mad and Mico), so some known Lokal Surfers were drawn to our table.

We also met this guy who even gave us a bottle of Jose Cuervo Tequila... what a fun night! Met new friends... met lokal surfer dudes... and spent time with close friends!

To the nights that we don't remember....

Hangover? No worries.... just get your *ss over here and problem solved! Actually, they are not just offering Coffee here..... they also show a big amount of PASSION in coffee making! I will always admire those human beings who will always have dedication in everything that they do. It's inspiring right?! No matter where you are, no matter what you do as long as your heart is with you..... it will always transpire with the outcome.
