Shocking footage taken from a secret camera reveals the harrowing moment a carer attacks an elderly woman she was supposed to be looking after.

Miriam Marino became suspicious about the alleged abuse on her mother after she was warned by a neighbour.

She then installed a CCTV camera at her mum’s apartment in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but was not expecting to see the horrific level of abuse that unfolded in the footage.

In the horrifying video, the carer is seen attacking the 94-year-old-woman who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.

The carer, who had been attending the woman for three years, can be seen slumped next to the elderly woman on the sofa.

She kicks her until the elderly woman tries to move her feet away.

The woman, who then appears to get angry, starts to repeatedly hit Miriam’s mother around the head, pushing and shaking her and grabbing her by her hair.

Miriam has now shared the footage on social media in an attempt to warn others against employing the carer.

She has also reportedly informed police but they have yet to issue a statement on the action they have taken.
