SOLANO COUNTY >> Authorities issued an Amber Alert on Thursday for a missing 15-year-old Vallejo girl who may have been injured by a Vallejo man.

The California Highway Patrol issued the Amber Alert for 15-year-old Pearl Pinson just before 1:30 p.m. Pinson was last seen about 7 a.m. Wednesday when the Solano County Sheriff’s Office received reports of shots fired in the area of the Interstate 780 pedestrian overpass that leads from Home Acres to Taylor Avenue.

A witness told deputies that a girl was seen being pulled by a man on the overpass. The girl’s face was bleeding and she was yelling for help. The man was seen with a firearm in his hand, authorities said. As the witness ran for help, a shot was heard, deputies said.

At the scene, deputies found what appeared to be blood on the ground.

Authorities say Pinson is 5 foot, 3 inches tall and 130 pounds. She was wearing a gray sweater and black leggings and also had a black-and-turquoise backpack. She currently has green hair.

The car she may be associated with is a 1997 gold four-door Saturn with a California license plate of 5XZD385.

Pinson was not seen at school Wednesday or Thursday.

The man was identified as Fernando Castro, 19, of Vallejo. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and possibly reading glasses.

Deputies said they could not confirm if Pinson was shot and the extent of her injuries. It was also not immediately known if Pinson and Castro left the area together, since a vehicle was not seen.
