Five people have suffered "major injuries" after a vehicle collided with a group of people standing at a Muni bus stop on the 800 block of Stockton Street (near Sacramento Street), according to the SF Fire Department.

In all, 10 people were injured by the collision.

Emergency vehicles are on the scene, and Stockton has been blocked off between Sacramento and Clay streets, with buses re-routed.

We'll continue to update this breaking story as it develops.

Update, 2:03pm: SFPD spokesperson Ofc. Giselle Talkoff told reporters on the scene that the crash occurred around 12:37pm. The five victims who sustained major injuries have all been taken to the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene after the collision, and while Talkoff did not know his condition, she said that the collision appears to have been accidental. Police are continuing to investigate.

The 800 block of Stockton Street is likely to remain closed off for at least three hours.
