  3. You are so cute, Lou!! I love your blog… it has a happy feeling to it. I hope we can all hang out soon. <3 Kelly

  4. Found you through Jen’s blog today! Great interview! I found it so inspiring. We’re a lot alike! I too am 3 novels in (only 2 are complete manuscripts though), my husband is my biggest fan when it comes to my writing and believes in me more than I believe in myself, and J.K. Rowling is probably the closest thing to a god waking the planet (okay, I kid. [Well, not really]). And my husbands a twin so I kinda get the whole creepy, weird, I-talk-about-my-twin-a -lot-thing ;)

So glad I discovered your blog!

    • Danielle,
Wow- thank you so much! It’s amazing how much we have in common, even in a roundabout way! Thanks for stopping by. The support and kind words mean the world to me. (your husband definitely needs to read that Wally Lamb book, I Know This Much Is True, about the twin boys!!!)

  5. so happy to meet you

  6. Hey again. We have the same favorite book – I only read it for the first time last year and I would say it’s a pretty life changing read – I’ll tell anyone who will listen about it and am planning on re-reading it soon! These photos are lovely too, looks like you live somewhere really beautiful :) Becca

  7. Lovely photos!! So I was getting all excited that your hair might still be short (is it?!) because it really looks great on you, and then I saw that you had your tree up since 2010. So, this might be updated and you’ve been enjoying the lovely glow of the tree for three years, or it might be post date. I’m going to do a little more digging to try and scrape out a hair pic and see. :) Either way, I love the tree idea! The glow of Christmas is simply my fav.

  8. I found you through your comment on at Twisted Oak post on Instagram and after reading your Never EVER Say Never post..I feel like i’m reading a bit of my own story here! Married young, divorced with no kids; love a good short hair cut (long hair doesn’t suit my face shape!!) and April was my first year in the small town in the midwest, Prescott, after living in the south – NC and DC for over 35 years; and not only did I move to this small town for an amazing man…but he has 3 children which have now created my InstaFamily! I would never have expected this journey, but I wouldn’t change it! I look forward to reading through your blog and books about how you’ve managed all these changes as well! Best of luck to you and all others out there finding themselves in a place they never expected and embracing it!

    • Oh my gosh, that is just unreal!!! The similarities!! I want to hear more about YOUR story too! InstaFamily. I’m going to use that, but I’ll definitely tag you there :) Thank so much for taking time to read my blog. Prescott is quite a magical place for misfits, isn’t it?!

  9. I read A Prayer for Owen Meany because of you. Incredible book. It is now in my top favorites of all time. I think it’s time to re-read it!

  10. Hi there Lou! It’s Carol Grannis – and I love, loved learning about you cool woman! How amazing your story is and I’m so happy about your love and your life. Look forward to getting to know you at SEB.

    • CAROL! Thank you for stopping by my blog!! Wow, that means a lot to me. I admire YOU so much and whenever I see you around I think… ok. I need to talk to her about life. I’ll do that sometime!

  11. It’s so fun even reading everyone’s comments, Melinda!! I’m smiling all over my desk, computer, & everything in this room right now… I can’t thank God enough for you, my dear daughter in love!! Never stop writing!
