The Spartanburg Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) announces that the newest
edition of the Official Spartanburg Visitor Guide is now available. 30,000 copies have been printed and are available to people planning to visit Upstate, South Carolina. The guide highlights Spartanburg County's hotels, attractions, shops, restaurants, as well as other
points of interests.

"Each year we receive thousands of requests for our Visitor Guide. Whether travelers
are researching our area as a possible weekend getaway, putting the final touches on their itinerary, or trying to learn about our local favorites, this book serves as an important
travel tool," said Chris Jennings, Executive Vice President at the SCVB.

The Official Spartanburg Visitors Guide is distributed at state welcome centers, regional
AAA travel agencies, GSP International Airport, local hotels, attractions, the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce visitor center and other tourism businesses. It is the primary fulfillment piece for all requests for information generated by the SCVB's advertising campaigns and sales efforts, and will be available online through www.GoUpstate.com as
well as www.VisitSpartanburg.com.

The partnership with the Spartanburg Herald-Journal allows the SCVB to focus its funds
on more print and online advertising, as well as cooperative marketing opportunities
with the state tourism office.
