The Whitworth and Manchester Craft Mafia - Circuit: WARP festival, 26 June 2016 Designer /makers fair hosted by the Manchester Craft mafia, in collaboration with the Whitworth.

After the successful collaboration between the Whitworth and the Manchester Craft Mafia with the Christmas Saturday Supplement in 2015, we have come together once again to create an event showcasing the very best of greater Manchester's designers and makers.

The Manchester Craft Mafia have been asked to organise and present a designer/makers summer fair on Sunday the 26th of June, as part of The Whitworth's very own festival! We  will again be showcasing the best handmade goods that Manchester has to offer. We welcome applications for stalls from any quality makers, artists, craftspeople and designers based in Manchester and the surrounding counties. Be involved in an event at an establishment voted as the' best museum of the year 2015'!

******PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN GAZEBO FOR THIS EVENT, 1X6FT TABLE WILL BE PROVIDED.******

"A warped weekend beneath the trees of art, music, performance and the unexpected"

A four day arts festival programmed by the Whitworth Young Contemporaries, young people aged 15-25 to celebrate the installation of a new sculpture in the park by artist Anya Gallaccio.

The event on Sunday 26 June will focus on families and the outdoors.  Programming will run from 10am – 5pm and will consist of Performance Art from live Street Theatre troupes, arts and craft workshops and a designer/maker's fair hosted by Manchester Craft Mafia.  Food and refreshment stalls will also located on site.

Manchester Craft Mafia will be working in collaboration with The Whitworth to bring a creative Summer feel to the Sunday's Family day, based in Whitworth Park. We would really like to hear from makers/designers/artists that are interested in selling their work, in an amazing setting, at a festival that is set to be an exciting celebration of every and all forms of creativity!

As you may be aware  last year, The Whitworth won the Art fund's prestigious prize of 'Museum of the year 2015' beating the likes of the newly refurbished national trust property of Dunham Massey and the 'poppies at the tower of London'.
