MOS is a real time strategy (RTS) plus first person shooter (FPS) PC game! MOS is based in artificial intelligence and robotics.
MOS is being built by a small independent team of cross disciplined developers. It is a huge amount of work for the team. Luckily, all members are avid game players with propulsion to produce something different and fun to play!
Is there a single player mode?
Yes. The single player mode can be played as “kill all” or death match style games against the AI.
Is there research in the game for RTS play?
Yes. Player bases and base defenses can be advanced through research. Minions are advanced with enhancements, salvage and upgrades purchased in the OpEd.
Do I get to keep my minions when they die?
Yes. Minions can be regenerated during a match if they die, but only if you have enough war points. All dead minions are regenerated for the next match.
Do my minions keep their upgrades?
Yes. If you buy upgrades for you minions or find salvage for them, these are permanent. Upgrading minions and winning matches increase your rank. Your armies will grow more and more powerful as you play and upgrade them.
How many minions can be in my army?
32.
How many armies can I have?
You can have as many armies as you have resources to buy them. Also, armies can be built from finding salvage.
How many armies can be on a map?
There can be 8 armies on a map. If all GENEI’s (RTS commanders) have 32 minions, that’s 256 minions on the map. And, 64 of those minions can be piloted by live players.
Can GENEI (RTS commander) pilot a minion too?
Yes. But some of the RTS functions will not be available while GENEI is piloting a minion. Be careful!
We are moving down a new road! We are seeking to blaze a trail in video game distribution, by giving away our video games and downloadable content, for free. This is a new method by which game companies can make money. We’ll use crypto currency mining technology, and integrate it with games! As you know, the best graphics accelerator cards (GPU’s) also make the best mining cards.
Alien Labs is marrying this combination of technology, to bring you games for free. It also supports the company without an exchange of money. Imagine never paying for a video game, or, in game content again!
Simply adjust the mining power you want to use while you’re playing the game, and generate tokens that are spendable in the game store. The more you mine, the more tokens you get. Crank up the mining power when you’re not playing the game, to get a boost of game tokens for the store!
Mean. Diabolical. Deadly. Funny? Yea that's GENEI. Alien Labs is producing a video that will capture the essence of GENEI. Wait until you see this guy!
MOS will support the modding community by opening up the ability to modify every aspect of the game without programming.
Alien Labs is planning to add a JARVIS "like" AI to MOS. Of course, our AI will not be able to create it's own concepts as JARVIS seems to in the movie...
We are still running our Greenlight campaign on steam. Drop by and give us a "yes" vote. Thanks!
this game looks like the terminator rts that i have always wanted
Any updates on an alpha and/or beta yet? The game looks awesome.
Lobby servers and match making are still being developed. Everything is coming along well.
is the download for this available ? cause im like, go wow on this game, especially if some dudes like me play dis, i wish it will be available
sides the game have the features that i actually like, sorry if i type too much...
@apophis99942 - No public downloads yet. Keep a watch for it.
Looks interesting but would there be any way to reduce the brightness/magnitude of explosions in FPS mode? I would imagine that playing in FPS mode for more than a few minutes would cause serious eye-pain and in the video you posted, whoever was playing was often essentially blind for a second or two at a time due to nearby explosions covering the view.
Best of luck balancing the FPS and RTS gameplay; that must be tricky.
Thanks for the comment and observation. We could add a setting for intensity of effects. We'll study this!
Balancing is the tricky part. Getting this wrong tends to create a lot of frustration for the players. We will tune this during beta testing with all of you.
well i dont like robots. but i like the gameplay
not just an rts/fps like all other games i have played like empires mod
or savage the cons on that games was that you dint have "minions" and the fps players are needed to build the commander buildings that sucked a lot.
questions
can you build a base like a commander from rts classic games? like c&c or starcraft?
it will be fully modifiable? in the point that some one can remove the robots and add other models?
is any resource available in the map to harvest?
the commander can assist the fps players? drop care packages mini bunkers or something like that?
how about base defenses and walls?
is any vehicles that some one can get in and drive? (for later modding purposes)
any mini quest on the maps for fps players to do? like take control of that point to get more money or destroy that to close a road?
if this game have this staff i will buy it and i will make my friends buy it too.
and a request you could add squads to follow the fps players and the fps players could give commands to there squad like go there bring something
like a sentry drone pack or whatever.
i have just give you some of my ideas.i will never be able make a game for my self i hope you do it for me :)
"can you build a base like a commander from rts classic games? like c&c or starcraft?"
*The bases are premade in MOS. You can apply research to the buildings during the game play as the RTS commander (otherwise known as GENEI in MOS) to improve them.
"it will be fully modifiable? in the point that some one can remove the robots and add other models?"
*MOS will not initially release as mod-able. There has been some discussion on patching that in at a later time.
"is any resource available in the map to harvest?"
*Resources are gathered from killing the enemy and finding “drops” in the game. We refer to resources as “war points”. You can spend warpoints during the game to improve player base buildings and weapons.
"the commander can assist the fps players? drop care packages mini bunkers or something like that?"
*Yes! The GENEI or RTS commander can hand out resources and special drops to help FPS players.
"how about base defenses and walls?"
*No walls.
"is any vehicles that some one can get in and drive? (for later modding purposes)"
*Yes. We have tracked, wheeled, walking, flying and hovercraft vehicles. The thing to remember in MOS is, you ARE the vehicle. Everything is robotic so your consciousness pilots the vehicle.
"any mini quest on the maps for fps players to do? like take control of that point to get more money or destroy that to close a road?"
*Yes! There are special salvage points to be held in MOS. These contain ultra premium weapons and minions to be captured and added permanently to your army. Expect some epic battles over salvage...
"if this game have this staff i will buy it and i will make my friends buy it too."
*It has most of it. :)
"and a request you could add squads to follow the fps players and the fps players could give commands to there squad like go there bring something like a sentry drone pack or whatever."
*Good idea. We will consider that.
*It has most of it. :)
*well i will buy the game
is any vehicles that some one can get in and drive? (for later modding purposes) i dont mean the commander ability to take control of a minion.i mean to get in a vehicle and drive it as an fps player
