Ray Davies to release new album "Americana" in April on Legacy Recordings
The Kinks Legendary Former Frontman First Album Release
in Almost A Decade
Legendary former frontman of the all-time great British rockers 'The Kinks' Mr. Ray Davies has declared his new solo album. The 15-song "Americana" will come out in April via Legacy. It will feature American country rock band 'The Jayhawks' as Ray Davies has them on the album as his rocking backing band. It marks the first new material studio album works since his 2008's "Working Man's Cafe".
"Poetry" is the 1st ear listening sighting of his new coming album, "Americana". The first new Ray Davies album in nearly a decade. Where he was once so fascinated by the Kentucky black hills, this song looks at America's staggering obsession with materialism. Lyrics ringing out like:
"I kneel down and say grace for the comforts the world bestows on me / And the great corporations providing our every need / And those big neon signs telling us what to eat / And every shop window goods are designed to please / Oh but I ask / Where is the poetry?"
The album goes deep with getting inspiration from Americana the memoir. It included written passages on The Kinks ban from America in the 1960's and Mr. Ray Davies residing in the U.S.A. as he got older. The album also goes on incorporating a number of spoken-word routes from Ray Davies autobiography,
"Americana", the album, draws inspiration from Americana the memoir, which included thoughts on The Kinks' ban from America in the '60s and Ray's move to the U.S. later in life. The album also contains a number of spoken-word passages from Davies' autobiography. Ray as well is set to release a second album later this year, tremendous news for all here devoted fans.

FORKSTER Rates It (new single): by Slowdive
Legendary Rockers Still Bringing The Real Music Goods with "Star Roving"!
Recently legendary British atmospheric/shoegaze rockers Slowdive gave their fans a video teaser of 22 seconds (*no audio & very little video vibe shown), for getting ready to a 2017 album release, Slowdive first music effort in 22 years.
Since their exciting stir on the 11th of January they were so kind to fantastically unveil a new song song called "Star Roving" (12th of January), which was the song used in the 22 sec. music video flirt.
Slowdive's brilliant frontman Neil Halstead (vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist) said in a statement in reference to "Star Roving:
"When the band decided to get back together in 2014, we really wanted to make new music. It's taken us a whole lot of shows and a few false starts to get to that point, but it's with pride and a certain trepidation we unleash 'Star Roving.' It's part of a bunch of new tracks we've been working on and it feels as fun, and as relevant playing together now as it did when we first started. We hope folks enjoy it."Pitchfork is reporting that Slowdive has signed on with Dead Oceans, with an upcoming album announcement expected shortly.

The thing that strikes my music ear orbits entirely is how fans of Slowdive after hearing this are going to be 'chomping at the bit' for the album's release. I would not expect anything less to be honest out of this spectacular and professional only band with a comeback especially, it would have to flow right and in my highest opinion it certainly does that and then some. It still is remarkable though after hearing their "Star Roving" new single that even with a new material flight not soaring out from them since 22 years ago now that they haven't missed a music spark at all. Infact, this should absolutely thrill their loyal allegiance how it atmospherically stuns out with their early career, superb shoegaze calling. There also is an experimentation towering about which was how the band sounding a bit off their 1995 3rd album "Pygmalion" vibe. They have certainly covered all the right music bases in pleasing the original shoegaze lovers as well as the upcoming new regime of young shoegazer music appreciators. The actual music features guitar riffs that 'buzz & fuzz' out a cosmic noise rock excellence. It is accompanied by 'glowing good' vocal haunts, as well as a riveting rhythm pull. This is certainly a welcomed return 100 percent, A+ 'all the way' here for Slowdive's "Star Roving".

I would like to say that i have known of AGONY IN THE GARDEN/AITG own brilliant hard rock talents for a few years now and have seen the growth of Mack Perry, He now with the additions of Bobby (drummer) and Mike (guitarist), Mack’s dreams and visions for hard rock groovin’ out globally with his Agony In The Garden is soon to be a rocking reality!
2016 was truly a very gratifying and promising year for the future endeavors at AITG. It included most importantly for the hard rock engine to get some huge rock n' roll wheels to take them down roaring music motorways everywhere needed. These were provided by the additions of Bobby Milton (drummer) and Michael Greer (guitarist) back in 2016. Mack's vision of getting that sound even 'slamming and jamming' bigger with the right connections was now a thrilling reality....
In September, a single that was previously all played and recorded by Mack before the lad's joined released. "Obsolete", an electrifying music storm with gigantic voltages of hard rock might, real heavy metal command and a riveting rock n' roll thrust leaving you trembling with hearing 'captivating & gravitating' rock done right. This is 'ball's to the wall's music sock!

Other extremely rocking accomplishments throughout the year for these superbly talented independent hard rockers have been:
- Agony In The Garden's song "Let It Burn" (from the "Where Olympus Dwells" May of 2015 EP) was played during the 2016 SuperBowl, huge honour for the band and on a further note on the song, it's also played on various CBS Sports shows regularly.
- Their title track of their 2015 EP "Where Olympus Dwells" was in the film "Precision: The Child Drug Trafficking (2016)"
- Mack Perry and Grammy nominated alternative metal band SEVENDUST member Clint Lowery did some writing together and again mentioning, one of those works will excitedly be launched on the AITG scheduled April album release.

Significant band out of the atmospheric rock vibe, Slowdive brilliantly gelled into completely with the early-'90s British shoegaze music scene going down then. Their debut career spanned from 1989 to 1995 with 3 impressive albums: ‘Just for a Day’ (1991), ‘Souvlaki’ (1993) and ‘Pygmalion’ (1995).
They magically all got back together in 2014 for a stretch of hometown shows in London, England, and a Primavera festival slot before voyaging on a world tour. Then, a year later in 2015, they arranged and put out a brand new recording of "Avalyn", which they prior were performing on the 2014 gigs globally. When they discharged the track they went on to say that they were working on a live album. Last August 2016, drummer Mr. Simon Scott validated that the band had finished up recording a comeback record, but said he was unsure when it will be released. In May, vocalist & guitarist Rachel Goswell told Stereogum that the band have “a lot of songs” and that a new album is “being recorded right now as we speak”. It's now 2017 and through the rocking social media terminals it is becoming a glorious reality that a 'gleaming & beaming' new album will be hitting the ear rock modules for their fans worldwide very soon, FORKSTER certainly being one of them. We will definitely keep you posted on further details on the release details as well as a feature review on the album after launching.
