Bet you didn’t know that Jack Link’s Beef Jerky has 100% Cheesehead roots!!! Jack Link’s has scored more than a great marketing campaign with their “Feed Your Wild Side” Sasquatch series of ads, they’ve also made the tiny little town of Minong Wisconsin the largest beef jerkey products producer in all of North America, fast becoming the largest in the world. Of course Minong is so small that there are farms literally right across the road from the factory. It’s a fantastic small town Wisconsin experience.
We had the great pleasure of interviewing Jack Link himself (yes, there acutally is a man named Jack Link who owns the company) about his love of farming , Wisconsin, and of course the Green Bay Packers for the documentary and we’ll be bringing that to you soon, along with perhaps a few fun spots starring Sasquatch (not ours, but we may post theirs). This is a great company with small-town roots. My stepmother used to work there, and when I deployed to Iraq in 2007 (I am active duty Navy), many of the employees chipped in and sent my squadron apporximately 85 pounds of beef jerky. It was very uplifting in terms of moral! People in my command still talk about the “Beef Jerky Santa Clause” to this day 🙂
