Introducing Tease!Bang!Boom!
A monthly publication for the iPad and other handheld devices, Tease!Bang!Boom! is the only burlesque magazine dedicated to providing training and instruction for burlesque enthusiasts, performers, producers, teachers, and entrepreneurs!
Unlike other scene-based magazines on the market which cover events, profile performers, and occasionally include tips or basic instruction, we will utilize our digital and video-friendly format to offer the kind of in-depth training that other magazines cannot.
Burlesque has been enjoying a tremendous resurgence in awareness and popularity, and every month new shows, festivals, and classes are popping up in cities around the globe. Unfortunately, many people still aren't able to find the training they need. To fill this gap, Tease!Bang!Boom! will offer instruction in these areas:
1) Getting started in burlesque: While classes can be found in many cities, most burlesque training is expensive and location specific, which leaves many aspiring burlesquers out in the cold. We aim to provide world class training at a price that almost anyone can afford, which can be accessed from around the globe.
2) Taking your career to the next level: Again and again we have been asked, "What happens after I start performing?" There is currently little or no training available to new performers who want to know how to advance their careers, and even less information for aspiring show producers or experienced performers who want to start teaching.
3) Burlesque for non-performers: Not everyone who is interested in burlesque wants to perform. Learn how to use burlesque to build your confidence and transform your life without ever setting foot on stage! Burlesque is a profoundly empowering experience that everyone should be able to explore!

We are thrilled to be working with some of burlesque's brightest stars for our premier issues. Our generous contributors realize that every professional with talent was once an amateur with the desire to improve, and they are excited to share their skills and knowledge with our readers.

WHERE WILL THE MONEY GO?
We need your help getting Tease!Bang!Boom! up and running! Here are the largest expenses that we need to cover:
$2495 - App design and development (one time cost)
$1500 - Contributor fees for burlesque experts (first 2 issues)
$1100 - Equipment and software (one time cost)
$1200 - Video editing (first 2 issues)
$ 750 - Misc. legal and admin costs (first 2 issues)
$ 700 - GoFundMe and credit card processing fees
TOTAL = $7745
UPDATE: We've found alternative funding for the app development, equipment, software and a few other costs! Here are our new funding goals:
$1500 - Contributor fees for burlesque experts (first 2 issues)
$ 600 - Video editing (first 2 issues)
$ 750 - Misc. legal and admin costs (first 2 issues)
$ 300 - GoFundMe and credit card processing fees
TOTAL = $3150
This is a huge leap toward getting our first issues released, but we still need your help to make this happen! Our contributor fees are now the biggest cost we need to cover, so when you contribute not only are you helping us, you're also helping burlesque performers keep performing, which is one of our main goals. Performing doesn't always pay well, and those feathers and rhinestones add up!
