Logo3_1-1Drive Oregon, in partnership with the Portland Development Commission, has commissioned a study of the electric vehicle industry by the Portland State University Northwest Economic Research Center (NERC) This study will quantify the size and economic impact of Oregon’s electric vehicle industry, and will be critical to our work to promote the industry. NERC is conducting an anonymous online survey as part of this study, and we strongly encourage you to participate. You may have already received an email from NERC directly, but if not, please take the survey here
Special Event: The Electric Vehicle Industry in China
 

logo 3Please join us for an exciting event from 4-6 PM on Monday, August 6 to learn about the state of China's electric vehicle industry from special guest Professor Sun Zechang of Tongji University.  Professor Zechang is the Vice Dean of the School of Automotive Engineering at Tongji University and Vice Director of its Clean Energy Automotive Engineering Center.  He also served as Vice-Chairman of the Electric Vehicles Committee of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China and. This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.  RSVPs are appreciated but not required.
Matching Grant Deadline August 1

1001231269Drive Oregon is currently accepting applications for our Matching Grant program. Proposals must be submitted via email by 12 Noon on August 1, and may request from $5,000 to $50,000 or 20% of the primary funding award. Complete guidelines and application materials are available online. Drive Oregon awarded nearly $150,000 in its first round of Matching Grants last month. 
Drive Oregon Looks Ahead

In 2013, the Oregon Legislature provided nearly $1.2 million to jumpstart Drive Oregon. This investment was part of an innovation-based economic development strategy for Oregon, developed by the public-private Oregon Innovation Council (Oregon InC). Drive Oregon recently submitted a proposal seeking $2.75 million in renewed funding for the 2013-2015 biennium to expand our work and our grantmaking programs.
