Kretschman’s slam powers Pride to softball win

Former Satellite High softball star Kelly Kretschman blasted a grand slam to lead a parade of four home runs Sunday night as the USSSA Pride defeated Beijing Shougang 10-1 in Akron, Ohio.

The Pride (11-2) also got home runs from GiOnna cq DiSalvatore, Sierra Romero and Shelby Pendley, her third of the weekend.

Kelly Kretschman was last year's Triple Crown winner in the NPF.

Starter Kelsey Nunley struck out eight through five innings.

Former LSU star Bianka Bell delivered her first hit as a pro.

Kretschman is batting .485 to lead the team.

Beijing is the latest addition to the six-team National Pro Fastpitch circuit. 

The Pride return home for three games July 4-5-6 at Space Coast Stadium in Viera.
