Taskforce Maxima detectives have charged three people after a drug laboratory was allegedly uncovered at a Kurwongbah residence today.
A search warrant was executed at a residence on Lakeside Street where officers allegedly located an illicit laboratory used to manufacture methyl-amphetamines, a quantity of methyl-amphetamines and cannabis, a semi-automatic handgun and a rifle.
Police will allege the drug manufacture operation was linked to the Bandidos and Hells Angels criminal motorcycle gangs with the drugs distributed through gang networks in Brisbane and Toowoomba.
A 32-year-old Kurwongbah man has been charged with 12 offences including two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing instructions on producing drugs, possessing a Category H Weapon and three counts of possessing a Category A weapon. He is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow.
It will be alleged he is a participant of both the Hells Angels and Bandidos Criminal Motor Cycle gangs.
A 36-year-old Kurwongbah man has been charged with possessing a Category H weapon and possessing dangerous drugs.
A 34-year-old Kurwongbah woman has been charged with one count of possessing dangerous drugs.
They are expected to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court at a later date.
