Re-Souled! September 26th and 27th with Charles Bello : -The Re-Souled conference will be a Friday and Saturday conference. The topic is Spiritual Formation. Learn contemplative prayer and meditation techniques. For more information click here
Small Group Leader Training - we still need volunteers to lead small groups for the Fall
If you have a desire to lead or host a small group Bible Studies at Trinity Vineyard signup for Small Group Leader Training. Each student will receive the workbook "How to Lead Life Changing Small Groups". Training must be completed before Fall Small Group Session begin in Mid September. Let us know if you desire to be used by God in this pastoral role.
I hope those who have been receiving Abide in The Vine have been enjoying the teachings. The teachings are powerful lessons on living the blessed life.
Pressing In, Pressing On and Loving the Lord
I believe we are in a great season at Trinity Vineyard. Many prayer requests are being answered and several in dramatic fashion. People have been released from work on Tuesday and by Friday that had a better job, Prayers for healing have been answered, prayers for finances have been answered. It is a time to be continually thankful to the Lord.
At the beginning of the year the Lord said this would be a year of focus for us and it has been. We have grown as a church inwardly and outwardly. We have focused on inner life, prayer and the presence of God. We have implemented new structures and have upgraded some of the teams.
It has been said the only one who likes change is the baby with the wet diaper. But change happens for all of us. When change happens we must remember this to will pass. This is where pressing in and pressing on pays the biggest dividend.
When things are changing around you and it seems not for the best, press into the Lord. Sit at His feet and be with Him. Draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you.
When you receive His touch, His reassurance its time to press on, to look forward to seek the Lord for the next step. You press on with confidence because you realize after pressing in that you are not alone, you are empowered and impregnated with new vision and zeal.
And as we begin to see the way forward and move with the Lord we develop love for Him. We must rekindle, return to our first love. We must continually guard our hearts against growing cold. Pressing into the Lord and Pressing on with the Lord stokes the fire of love for the Lord.
The old song Vineyard song, Light the Fire Again is an anthem and rallying cry for renewal. So I will leave you with these word from Brian Doerksen.
