In addition to the team honor, juniors Hans Erickson (La Crosse, Wis. / Logan) and Bert Yaffe (Bethesda, Md. / Walter Johnson) were among 895 student-athletes from 335 colleges and universities to earn the NABC Honors Court distinction which recognizing those men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. Erickson and Yaffe were among 13 student-athletes from five MIAC institutions to garner the award.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior with at least one year at his current institution and achieve a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher at the conclusion of the 2013-14 season.
