IMG_3945Like the Wind Pop-Up Gallery – see you again soon!

Like the Wind magazine is all about stories about runners, by runners and for runners. And for just one week in October 2014, we aimed to bring as many of you together as possible. So we rented a gallery & bar in Shoreditch, in the heart of London and invited everyone along for a celebration of all things running – and the launch of our Issue #3. Supported by adidas, Monster headphones, ashmei and Eventbrite, the Pop-Up hosted some fantastic events and displayed a collection of artworks from the magazine, most of which was available for sale. We also had an exclusive opportunity for runners to purchase the Canadian Ciele caps.

Runners including Commonwealth Games marathon runner Steve Way, former London marathon winner Charlie Spedding and third fastest British female marathon runner Veronique Marot, ultra-running legends Sebastien Chaigneau and Jez Bragg and rising international trail running stars Holly Rush and Robbie Britton

The popup supported three charities: The Running Charity – led by the inspiring James Gilley, ‘A Mile in Her Shoes‘ set up by Nicola Miller, and Julia’s House – for which we collected £440 from the ‘Don’t be sh*t’ workshop, as per Steve Way’s wish.

Our three sold out movie nights showed Desert Runners and all trail running documentaries from Trails in Motion Film Festival; we also got to be active with a Tights Making Workshop led by running seamstress extraordinaire Melissa Fehr, an Action Sports Photography Workshop led by Talk Ultra’s Ian Corless, and explore East London with a Street Art Running Tour with adidas, which was led by Gary from Alternative LDN (watch this space for more of those!)
