"Abby is a tremendous addition to our tennis team," Linn said. "She is a fantastic young lady from the Dallas area who possesses great focus and determination. Already a great singles player, her doubles game has really improved over the last two years."

She transfers to Midwestern State with two seasons of eligibility remaining and plans to pursue a graduate degree in sports administration.

White competed at the No. 1 positions in both singles and doubles for Arkansas-Fort Smith.

She earned All-Heartland Conference first-team honors in each of her seasons for the Lions and was a first-team singles selection in 2014 when she was also tabbed as the league's Freshman of the Year.

White earned all-academic honors from the Heartland Conference following her sophomore year and was selected for the National Society of Leadership and Success from UAFS.

She finished her prep career ranked 18th in the State of Texas and 184th nationally according to the Tennis Recruiting Network as a four-year varsity letter winner.

White was a three-time district MVP earning region MVP accolades as a senior in 2013. She was also a four-team all-district performer in both singles and doubles at Coppell High School.

She competed as a United States Tennis Association Texas Superchamp between the ages of 14-18 and was part of the Brookhaven Tennis Academy from 2006-14 under coaches Dave Anderson and Dijon Crupi.

The multi-talented White was also a noted gymnast trained by Olympian and world champion Kim Zmeskal at Texas Dreams. She was a Top 10 level six gymnast who also finished in the top five at nationals in trampoline and tumbling in 2006.

White joins a Midwestern State squad that advanced to the NCAA Division II quarterfinals for the first time in school history last season posting an 18-7 record.
