Wing Alex Cuthbert is one of 12 Wales Six Nations squad members released back to their regions ahead of the weekend's Pro12 games.

Cuthbert was dropped for Wales' 20-13 win over France and can press for a place against Ireland on 14 March as Cardiff Blues host Connacht on Friday.

Flanker Justin Tipuric, another Lion, is among three going back to Ospreys.

Scarlets welcome back Rhys Priestland and Scott Williams while Hallam Amos is with Newport Gwent Dragons.

Cuthbert lost out as Northampton's George North returned to the Wales team for the win in Paris and Scarlets' Liam Williams held his place in the back-three alongside Toulon full-back Leigh Halfpenny.

Hooker Kristian Dacey, prop Scott Andrews, fly-half Gareth Anscombe and centre Cory Allen join Cuthbert as Blues prepare to host Connacht on Friday.

Flanker Tipuric, prop Aaron Jarvis and versatile back-five forward James King are all available to face Munster in Swansea for Ospreys on Saturday.

Scarlets could have scrum-half Gareth Davies alongside fly-half Priestland and centre Williams when they host Leinster on Saturday.

Back-three player Amos could figure for Dragons when they face Ulster at Rodney Parade on Sunday.
