Rev. Paul's Inspirational Message

GLIMPSE OF GOD'S GLORY

Good Day Family,

What a joy it is to spend time in the presence of God. Moses had spent so much time talking with God that he desired to see God's face. God wouldn't allow that, but did take Moses to a place, in the cleft of a mountain, where he could experience God's glory without seeing God's face. If you have ever had the opportunity to truly experience God's glory, it is something that you will seek after for the rest of your life. The Psalmist says in Psalm 27, verse 4, "One thing I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple."

Down through the ages people of faith have sought to experience the presence of God in their lives. The disciplines of the spirit provide us with an avenue into that Divine presence. Prayer, meditation, fasting and the other disciplines are all ways in which we might find and cultivate a deeper and more profound experience of God's presence. Richard J. Foster, in his pivotal book on the spiritual disciplines entitled "Celebration of Discipline," offers insight on the various pathways into God's presence through the disciplines of the spirit.

Do you desire a deeper relationship with God? Would you like to have a more profound experience of God's presence in your life? Do you want to bask in the blessing of God's glory? If so, then you must seek it and earnestly desire it. It does not come with age or experience. It comes through your desiring, your seeking, and your asking. God wants to reveal God's glory to us just like God did for Moses. I desire a fresh glimpse of God's glory each day. If you do as well, then take the time to seek. Take the time to ask. Take the time to pray and go deep into the presence of God and God will show you God's glory.

With the heart of s seeker,
