Box Score WICHITA, Kan. (Oct. 25, 2014) – Oklahoma Christian's recent dominance over Newman (Kan.) came to an end on Saturday night.

Newman rode a goal by Kerbson Lubin in the 52nd minute to a 1-0 win over the Eagles at Wilkins Field, beating OC for the first time in the last eight meetings between the teams.

OC (2-8-1, 1-4 Heartland Conference) had been 3-0-1 against Newman (10-4-1, 4-2) since joining the Heartland Conference in 2012.

The Jets outshot OC only 14-11, but of the Eagles' shots, only two of them were on goal – both by Ante Susic, coming in the 60th and 65th minutes. Newman goalkeeper Calum Dillon saved both of those shots.

After a scoreless first half, Lubin took a pass from Lucas Hanson and dribbled around a defender before beating OC goalkeeper Evan Helker. Helker saved four other shots by the Jets.

OC will finish its four-game conference road swing when the Eagles visit Rogers State on Monday afternoon.
