Midsummer Landscape Revival
Summer ... Part Deux
This summer has been as close to perfect as any Hoosier could ask. The extreme temperatures and drought of the last couple of summers are a distant and unpleasant memory. Nonetheless, the landscape and plants that were so perky at the end of May may be looking a little tired.
A few midsummer tips:
  • Rough up mulch to create vigorous color
  • Clean plant/flower beds and tidy up the edge of any over-grown plants
  • Refresh pots and hanging baskets by aggressively cutting back foliage and flowers
  • Prune back overgrown ground cover like ivy and myrtle
