“there’s a haunting magic at work” - Folkwords

Dublin singer-songwriter, producer and guitarist Enda Reilly writes and sings in both Irish and English. He plays acoustic guitar with varied styles and sings his modern folk songs with a full resonant  baritone voice. His third album Amhráin Nua I nGaeilge – New Songs In Irish, a collection of his songs and co-writes in the Irish language, was released in 2014.

Enda also runs workshops on climate change in schools and libraries which feature his songs about human caused climate change. During 2014, he wrote and performed during “Everlasting Voices” (a performance piece blending poetry (in Irish and English), music, dance and theatre which performed in Dublin, Belfast and Hyderabad, India) and at various IMRAM events, creating soundscapes to accompany the likes of Gabriel Rosenstock, Liam O Muirthile and Biddy Jenkinson.

As well as his busy performing and composing life, he is also a member of the Urchin Collective, the Lazy Band, the Gospel Project, duets with poet Stephen James Smith and co-runs the Stars and Wishes Songwriting Workshops with Carolyn Webb.

This will be the final concert of a series of four presented by Dublin Unitarian Church presenting concerts of high-quality music in a relaxed and enjoyable all-ages setting. The Spring Journey season is also raising funds for the churches’ Organ Restoration Fund which is financing the restoration and upgrade of the JW Walker pipe organ in the church to meet the high standards of the modern worship and recital pipe organ. The work is being undertaken by Irish organbuilder Trevor Crowe and is scheduled to be completed in September 2015.
