Serious traffic crash, Kippa Ring

A man has been seriously injured as a result of a traffic crash in Kippa Ring early this morning.

The crash occurred at 3.20 this morning when a taxi struck a tow truck at the intersection of Anzac Avenue and Mandin Street.

The driver of the car, a 56-year-old man and sole occupant, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious head injuries after being cut from the wreckage.

A 60-year-old woman who was a passenger in the tow truck was also taken to hospital for observation.

The tow truck driver was not injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
