Far Northern District police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman at Woree this morning.
Just before 4am, police were called to a Toogood Road residence after a 27-year-old woman was located with wounds consistent with being stabbed.
A 32-year-old Lockhart River man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
The man and the woman are known to each other. No further information is available at this time.
