Are you passionate about reuniting lost pets with their owners? Are you pre-vet or vet tech student coming home for the summer and interested in earning hours in a public health animal shelter setting? Do you love animals but you'd rather be out in the community advocating on behalf of our furry frends at special events?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, we'd like for you to join us at the HCPHES Veterinary Public Health location (612 Canino Road, Houston, Texas 77076) to come lend a helping hand!
We're seeking volunteers to help in the following areas:
In Shelter
- Lobby Greeter
- Lost Pet Coordinator
- Adoption Counselor
- Playground Monitor
- Marketing
- Dog Ambassador Program
- Clerical Assistance
Special Events Team
- Vaccination Clinics
- Spay/Neuter Events
- Health Fairs & Festivals (special training required)
- Mobile Adoptions
If you're not interested in the above opportunities, we also need volunteers for our Kitty Committee, Foster Program, or to help us secure donations.
Note: All volunteers must complete orientation prior to initiation of their volunteer service.
