In 2013, Austin's City Council proclaimed August 29th as Riders Against the Storm (RAS) Day. Most holidays are about giving, but RAS Day is about receiving. In collaboration with community organizations and health practitioners the aim is to have an entire day where people feel taken care of. This environment is created with healthy activities such as yoga, great food, music, and more. The festival was created in 2014 to give Austin a new way to come together and get down in the name of community. Using their platform as Band of the Year for the second time in a row at the 2015 Austin Music Awards, Riders look to bring good times to Central Texas.
