Grammys 2015: Syro by Aphex Twin wins dance/electronic album of the year

The enigmatic producer wins Grammy for his first album in 12 years seeing off competition from Deadmau5 and Little Dragon

Aphex Twin has won the best dance/electronic album at the 2015 Grammys for his album Syro beating off competition from Deadmau5, Little Dragon, Royksopp & Robyn and Mat Zo.

The artist who originally put out the album via the dark web, took home his first Grammy after releasing his first record in 12 years.

Aphex Twin (real name Richard D James) has recently released an EP on Warp records and has also uploaded more than 150 demo tracks on his Soundcloud account.
