Burglary with violence, Algester

Police investigating a burglary at Algester early Tuesday morning have released images of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations.

Around 5am a man broke into a Springwater Place residence whilst armed with what appeared to be a knife and threatened a man, demanding keys to a car.

The intruder then approached a woman at the address, demanding keys to a car.

The man has then struck the intruder with a piece of wood at which point the intruder punched him, knocking him to the floor.

The intruder obtained the car keys and left in the vehicle.

The 45-year-old man suffered bruising to his face. The 25-year-old woman was not physically injured.

The man is described as possibly being of middle-eastern appearance, of average build, 172cm tall, aged between 20 and 30 years and was wearing a grey hooded jumper.
