Sheriff’s Office Report for Friday, April 21-Sunday, April 23

4/21/17

-1000 blk Avenue S, Levelland: Assault. Deputies responded to a residence regarding a family violence assault. A juvenile was detained and taken into custody for a felony assaultive offense. The investigation is ongoing.

-6800 blk Armadillo Rd, Smyer: Juvenile Complaint. Deputies responded to a reported juvenile issue. No offenses were reported and remedies were provided to all parties.

-600 blk Justin Rd, Levelland: Loose Livestock. Loose cattle were reported in the area. The owner was contacted and responded to help secure the livestock.

-FM 41 at Dove Rd, Ropesville: Vehicle Crash. Deputies responded to a reported vehicle crash in the area. No one was located on scene and it was released to Troopers, who conducted the investigation.

100 blk College Avenue, Levelland: Pedestrian Contact. Deputies contacted an individual who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The individual was released to a sober individual.

4/22/17

-US Hwy 84 at FM 2130, Anton: Check Welfare. Deputies were dispatched to check welfare of a female observed walking along Hwy 84 near Anton. The individual was located and advised she was walking from Littlefield to Lubbock. The individual was transported by deputies to her residence.

-FM 2646 at Hwy 114, Levelland: Loose Livestock. Deputies responded to reported loose livestock along the highway. The area was searched and no ne were located outside of fenced areas.

-FM 300 at Black Gold Rd, Levelland: Suspicious Person. A Deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate a reported suspicious person in the area. The area was searched and the individual was not located.

-FM 301 at Gusher Rd, Sundown: Vehicle Crash. Deputies respon ded to a reported crash in the area. Deputies assisted as needed and the scene was released to Troopers to investigate the crash.

-FM 2130 at FM 2641, Anton: Vehicle Crash. Deputies responded to another vehicle crash in the area. A deputy aided in the investigation and the information would be turned over to Troopers. Deputies remained on scene until the area was cleared of vehicles.

-3100 blk Hwy 114, Levelland: Burglary. A deputy responded to a call related to an individual forcing entry into a residence and committing an assault. The individual fled the scene prior to arrival of deputies. Information was taken for a report. The area was searched and the suspect was not located.

-6500 blk Elk Rd, Smyer: Medical Assist. Deputies responded to a medical issue at a residence. EMS responded and one individual was transported for treatment. No offenses were reported.

-2600 blk Robert Lee, Levelland: Juvenile Complaint. Deputies were dispatched to a juvenile issue at a residence in the area. One individual was transported for medical treatment by a deputy. No offenses were reported.

-900 blk Avenue B, Levelland: Assault. A deputy was dispatched to an address in Levelland related to an assault that occurred at a location outside of the city. Information was taken for a report for Assault.

-2300 blk E. Ellis, Levelland: Found Property. An individual turned over a found identification card to a deputy. The property was returned to the owner.

-3200 blk FM 2646, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a verbal disturbance at a residence in the area. No assaults or other offenses were reported. Remedies were advised to all parties, and the parties were separated.

-100 blk Lawrence, Anton: Civil Complaint. A deputy responded to a residence regarding a juvenile issue between family members. No offenses were reported and civil remedies were advi sed to the parties.

4/23/17

-2000 blk Longhorn, Levelland: Criminal Trespass. A deputy was dispatched to serve a criminal trespass notice to a resident for several properties. The notice was served and a copy provided to the recipient.

-600 blk Sylvan, Anton: Disturbance. A deputy responded to a residence regarding a verbal disturbance. No offenses were reported and parties were separated.

-300 blk Avenue F, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies responded to assist Levelland Police with a reported offense at a residence in the area. Levelland arrested one individual and transported him to the jail without incident.

-800 blk Grant, Smyer: Suspicious Activity. Deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate a vehicle in the area. It was reported the drier was holding a long gun out of the window as he drove around. The area was searched and the vehicle was not located.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Warrant Servic e. A deputy responded to the jail to serve a warrant on an individual who wanted to turn himself in.

-3800 blk East Hwy 114, Smyer: 911 Hang-up. A deputy was dispatched to a 911 hang-up call at a residence. The call was determined to be accidental and all parties in the residence were contacted. No offenses were reported.

-6881 East Hwy 114, Smyer: Check Welfare. A caller requested deputies check welfare of a juvenile at a residence in the area. Multiple attempts were made to contact the residents but no one was home. Additional remedies were provided to the caller.

It was also reported that their are currently 51 inmates in the Hockley County Jail with 4 awaiting to be processed and 14 are being housed out of county currently.
