A tour bus with anti-LGBT messages was vandalized near the United Nations.

A spokesperson for the conservative group National Organization for Marriage says it happened around 4 p.m. Thursday.

He says two men started hitting it with a hammer, smashed the windshield, and wrote graffiti on it.

The bus driver also suffered cuts to his hands.

The bus has messages that say "boys are boys and girls are girls."

It was launched by several conservative groups and has been making stops along the East Coast.

Police are still investigating.
