Flat out giving blood

Flat out giving blood…

Acting Senior Sergeant Steve Quinn, Officer in Charge of Coolangatta Station, made his contribution as part of the Red Cross Emergency Services Blood Challenge 2014 this morning at the mobile van in Coolangatta.

Acting Senior Sergeant Quinn managed to donate almost half a litre in the extraordinary time of 4 minutes and 41 seconds.

The Red Cross Emergency Services Blood Challenge sees the Queensland Police Service compete with the Queensland Ambulance Service and the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service for the most amount and the highest percentage of blood donations over the period of 16 June to 15 August 2013.

The challenge is also open to all family and friends who can register and donate under the ‘QLD Police Club Red’ group. For details on registering and donor centre locations, please visit http://www.donateblood.com.au/nes.
