The fight continues...

The first Fight on Philippines fundraiser was a Filipino martial art event held in San Francisco to raise money for the brave and strong Typhoon Haiyan survivors of the Philippines. Filipino martial artists donated their time and knowledge of the Filipino arts and cut through the barriers that separates the different teachings to become one for a single cause.

Round 2 of Fight on Philippines begins. We want to show our continued support for the people of the Philippines and let them know that they are not forgotten.

Your donations will go towards organizatons that support the Typhoon Haiyan survivors of the Philippines. To avoid any overhead we are hoping someone will generously donate a space large enough to hold over 50 people punching and swinging weapons and prizes to give away at the event. Perhaps we can hold our event in September 2014 in San Francisco or the surrounding bay area.

I will be teaching variations of the Filipino martial arts including Filipino boxing, staff/spear fighting and knives. I am looking for Filipino martial artists to teach and share their knowledge. I am also open to other genres of teachings such as dance and yoga. Please email me if you are interested in teaching or have any ideas or suggestions. I am Rene Latosa, from Santa Rosa, CA.
I held the first Fight on Philippines event in San Francisco last year in December.
We raised well over $3,500.00 which was given to NAFCON, which delivered the money to help buy goods and supplies to the victims.
As soon as I reach the goal, or even before, the same process. The NAFCON can provide tax forms to those who donate.
