Crater Lake tops reader survey as king of 7 Wonders of Oregon (photos)

's ad campaign struck a chord with readers of this blog. My numbers went bonkers, at least by my standards.

After

in early March after Travel Oregon launched it, I got wound up winding down the ski season. I couldn't pass up those trips to Mt. Bachelor and Anthony Lakes just to edit 10 years of photos, could I?

Anyway, I have caught up enough to put together some photos galleries of each of the seven wonders. There seems to be a strong viewer demand, with

The wonders on Travel Oregon's list are Crater Lake, Mount Hood, Columbia River Gorge, Smith Rock, Oregon coast, Wallowa Mountains and Painted Hills.

I'm traveling again, but I had time to cobble together eye candy of the last few wonders, after I published some previously. I'll do a better job down the road, adding links to my major stories on each over the years.

Here is the line up of what has come thus far. Crater Lake's photo gallery is in this post;  Mount Hood comes out on Wednesday this week, followed by the Columbia River Gorge on Thursday. That completes the first round, but that's not all that will be said about them this summer.
