Box Score ODESSA, Texas (Sept. 21, 2014) – Alexa Branum and Jasmin Lopez each had a goal and an assist and Texas-Permian Basin beat visiting Oklahoma Christian on Sunday afternoon.

UTPB (1-4) and OC (0-7-1) are both in the Heartland Conference, but the game was considered as a nonconference contest. The teams will play again in Oklahoma City on Nov. 3 in the season finale.

The Falcons, who outshot OC 20-11, took the lead in the 33rd minute. Lopez's through ball found Branum, whose shot into the bottom left corner eluded OC goalkeeper Lindsey Williams.

The Lady Eagles nearly tied the game in the 49th minute when Devon Palluth's shot hit the crossbar. UTPB sealed the win in the 82nd minute when Branum and Lopez reversed roles, with Branum's pass leading to a goal by Lopez.

Williams finished with four saves while UTPB goalkeeper Ebony Campbell had five.

The Lady Eagles will return to action Thursday at 7 p.m., when they host another Heartland rival, Newman (Kan.), in another nonconference game.
