Two girls. One Leo.

Identical twins, Maggie and Clara Ryder, both grew up with Leo Maddox, billionaire playboy, apparent alcoholic, and heir to his grandfather's world-famous Maddox hotel empire. Their roles were cemented long ago: Maggie, as his best friend and Clara as his childhood nemesis.

But when a simple twist of fate changes everything and both girls start to fall for the lean, mean, ridiculously sexy and seemingly spoiled Leo... which girl will win his heart?

Throw in a little mischief, drama, and one smoking-hot bartender and lines are sure to blur. But one thing's for certain, neither good-girl Maggie nor rebellious Clara will be satisfied until they each figure out where they belong.

Title: He Belongs With Me
Series: Standalone
Author: Sarah Darlington
Release Date: March 4th, 2014
Rating: 3.5 stars
Cliffhanger:. No
HEA:

This is a story about two sisters. They’re twins. Both are beautiful, smart and completely different. Both have some serious problems and don’t like each other much. Both are in love with the same boy, but when someone else enters their lives things get even more interesting.

He Belongs To Me it’s definitely not a story about two sisters and their love for each other.

Let me start by saying that I had fun while reading this novel. It sucked me right in from the start. Why? Because, He Belongs With Me is one of those incredibly cute, read for pleasure new adult reads that grab your attention and make for a nice evening.

It was funny, exciting and definitely full of drama. Despite this assets it wasn’t the best, though. Some things were definitely too much and left me confused. Sometimes it was like watching a few episodes of teenage soap opera in Glee style. Can you see where am I going with this? When you watch one or two episodes the show can be fabulous but when you watch a marathon quickly some things start to be tiresome or just too much.

I can’t say I was bored. He Belongs To Me delivered many melting moments, funny episodes and This is a light read that can be devoured in one sitting, as the characters and storyline are so very interesting and the plot seems to never slow down. Thanks to being written in dual point of view we get to stories in one package and it was very easy to connect with the heroines.

I recommend this book to you if you look for something sexy, easy and entertaining.

This book started out really confusing to me. I knew going in that it was going to be about twins falling for the same guy. But honestly, it had been a while since I read the description, so I couldn’t remember the guy’s name. And I started it right before bed, so I was too lazy to get up and go check to see what the guy’s name was in the blurb. So when three guys were introduced in the first chapter, I was feeling very blonde. And I hate that feeling. Because while I am blonde, I don’t think I act blonde.

My initial impression was I hated the ex. I was hoping it wasn’t him and if it was, I couldn’t understand why either girl would be into him. Next was the guy that was best friends with one of the girls. She even said he was “hard to like” and implied he was a heavy drinker. So…why is that appealing? And guy number three…also has a history with both girls. And since both girls reacted strongly to him when they realized who he was, he was my pick for the monkey in the middle. However, I was off. Way off. So off that I had to pause and gather my thoughts because I had to rearrange my whole way of thinking to keep going. I really shouldn’t have been lazy and just gone to read the blurb again.

At the start of the book, I didn’t like Maggie. There was just something about her that set me off. But I liked Clara. Ok, honestly…they were both likeable, but I picked a side and I wanted Clara to get the guy. The problem is…I wanted her to get the guy of my choosing. But as time went on, I really started to loathe Maggie. She was narcissistic and selfish. And I came to dread the POV switch to her. She was so unlikeable to me that I wanted to give her cement shoes and push her off a cliff. And those feelings continued throughout the entire book. Honestly, I didn’t care if she got a HEA or not. I have to say that I wanted to punch her in the face when she decided to fight for the guy. She’s had every other guy chasing after her and yet when one guy decided he wants her sister instead, she can’t handle it. Near the end, there was a comment made about how Maggie loved Clara and I just couldn’t help but feel that was a lie. I never felt like Maggie loved her sister at all. If Clara had disappeared and never returned, I think Maggie would have been happy. Then everything would be about her all the time and she’d never have to deal with Clara again. Maggie went out of her way to exclude Clara from everything, even when they were kids. She did have a change in attitude, but it wasn’t sincere to me and by that point, I just didn’t care.

Clara. I loved Clara. She was considered the “bad” or “rebellious” twin, but I saw her as someone that just didn’t fit. She wanted different things than what her family wanted. And time and time again her family demonstrated that they knew nothing about her. They saw her sense of style and ever changing hair color and wrote her off as “rebellious” and didn’t bother to get to know her beyond that. The only one to really see her was Leo. And I loved everything about their relationship. I loved every moment of them together and him telling and showing her how much she meant to him. And every time he would do/say something, she would flash back to something from their past and see it in a new light with the new information she had.

I’m not one for love triangles, and while I didn’t care for that aspect in this book, I loved every moment of Clara and Leo. They alone were a 5 star read. But the mere presence of Maggie and her POV had to drop this down to a 4 for me.

Maggie and Clara Ryder are identical twins with very different character.

description

They are daughters of a famous golf pro Reed Ryde. Their father own a golf club.

Maggie was a good, girly, do-all-as-told type girl, while Clara was the opposite. Clara was so tomboy, wild, and loves to break the rules.

description

description

They grew up with a billionaire guy named Leo Maddox. Leo and Maggie really get along. He was the closest best friend of Maggie. While Clara and Leo’s relationship were not good at all. They hate each other.

My Leo
description

Maggie dated a guy named Andrew. But he’s apparently an asshole. They broke up, but then Maggie’s twin, Clara started dating him. Maggie felt betrayed by the two of them.
One day, there was a party in their father’s golf club. Maggie didn’t want to appear without a date, since his ex-boyfriend was currently dating her own sister. Her own identical twin sister!
So, she decided to look for a date. She thought it would be nice if she was dating a total stranger. An employee in her father’s club, named Anita suggested her to find a hot guy named Dean. So Maggie went to find this hot guy.

Maggie managed to find the said very tall, good-shape, hot guy.

My Dean
description

With some deal, finally Dean agreed to be her date in that night. But when they went to the party and met Leo and also Clara and Andrew, Maggie just found out that Dean was actually not a ‘stranger’. He was her ex-stepbrother. And Maggie was in love with him once back then.

Maggie wondered why Dean suddenly back to Blue Creek after disappeared for six years. And beside the changes in his outward appearance, he also changed his name into Dean, that’s why Maggie didn’t recognize him in the first place.

Maggie still had that feeling toward Dean. Dean once promised that he would come to her again one day. Maggie wanted to know if he was back to fulfill that promise. But another shocking moment revealed. Dean has a daughter.

description

That night after the party in club, Clara ‘accidentally’ hit Leo with golf-cart.

description

She felt sorry so she took a responsibility to take him home to make sure he’s okay.
Because Leo was too drunk and she worried about him so she decided to spend the night in Leo’s house instead. In the next morning when she was going to check Leo out, she found Leo laying naked on his bed. She was shocked. But then Leo acted so casually and asked her to go to NYC with him instead.

In NYC something happened and Leo just acknowledged that despite of their fights, he had ‘a thing’ towards Clara.
And everything’s started from there…

description

Even though there’s finally a good start for Clara and Leo; they finally made love and Clara’s V-card was taken by Leo, but things didn’t go that smoothly.
And so does with Maggie and Dean. Maggie thought he still like her, but when she tried to kiss him, he rejected her.

So what will happen to them?

Just read this book ;)

I like the plot. Even though actually I didn’t expect the ending would be like that, but it went into a good story. I didn’t like Clara from the first time. She’s so drama queen -__-
Maybe it’s not my fav book but it’s really worth to read :D

Two things I loved about He Belongs With Me right off the bat - the cover, and the fact that it's a standalone! Sorry, but this was definitely one of those times when I totally judged the book by its cover. I mean, come on, you have to admit it looks so gorgeous! Also, we're now in a literary world where almost every book has to be a part of a series so yes, this was refreshing.

Maggie and Clara Ryder are identical twins who live privileged lives, being the daughters of golf legend and country club owner, Reed Ryder. The downside is that the two cannot be more different from each other. Typically, Maggie's the good twin while Clara's the rebellious one. Maggie lives and breathes the country club life while Clara wants nothing more than to run away from it all. Enter the other part of this sticky equation, Leo Maddox. He's the seemingly too serious and spoiled heir to a billion dollar hotel empire (naturally), and he also happens to be Maggie's best friend and Clara's nemesis (of course).

Leo Maddox

One summer night, everything changes. Soon, Clara starts to have feelings for Leo, and Maggie realizes that she may want to be more with her best friend. So, a love triangle? Not really. There is another character by the name of Dean/Robby -- yes, they are one and the same -- who is from Maggie's past who may or may not want her back. But the big question is who will Leo end up with?

Leo Teaser

I really enjoyed Sarah Darlington's debut novel. It is told in Maggie and Clara's POV so I got to know them both pretty well, but to be honest, I was so annoyed at Maggie. She acted like a spoiled princess/bitch especially towards her own twin. Many times I felt like I couldn't care less about her story, and all I wanted to do was fast forward to Clara's POVs. Thankfully, Leo and Clara were awesome characters.

So, why only 4 stars? Two things.

First, I felt like the story was almost too perfect. All the elements were there, the twist, the conflict, the build up, etc. But I just think that it fell a bit short. I guess I assumed that there was going to be a whole lot of drama, given the complex plot (though it wasn't really that complex). I should say it was sort of anti-climatic then.

Second, although the ending wasn't exactly rushed, it felt lacking. Maggie's happy ending was nicely put together, but Clara's HEA seemed abrupt. Hmm, maybe it would have been better to have separate books after all, so then both of their stories could have been better expounded. Yes, I know I said I was glad that this was a standalone but I guess, ultimately, I just wanted more Clara! ;)

Overall, He Belongs With Me is an entertaining read. Don't let the premise scare you because it's truly not that complicated of a story. It's about learning to deal with certain situations, finding love, and the love of family amid differences.

The story with some commentary:

21-year old Maggie and Clara Ryder are identical twins who have the world at their feet. With their dad being the owner of a privileged golf establishment, the Reed Ryder Country Club, both girls have money, status, and even beauty.

The only catch is, is that both twins couldn’t be less alike…

Maggie, is considered to be the good twin whereas Clara is considered the bad twin.

Maggie kind of got on my nerves a lot of the time with her higher than thou type of attitude toward Clara and eccentric shifts in moods. Kind of gave me whiplash!

As for Clara, well, I really liked her! In fact, I always waited for her parts. Clara is the rebellious, in your face, say what she wants to say twin with alternating hair color. She and twin Maggie’s best friend, Leo, are constantly at each other’s throats until one fateful night when Clara crashes her golf cart into Leo and is whisked away on a trip with him to New York. Then she begins to see Leo in a different light....

So, Leo Maddox. Leo, is the heir of a billion dollar hotel empire, the Maddox Hotel, and also the lemon to Maggie’s squeeze but the salt to Clara’s vinegar. He may appear to rigid and cold, especially to Clara, but deep down he’s loyal to a fault and has deep down pent up feelings for one particular twin. Who could it be?

I won’t divulge anymore of the story, but I will say that there is two other suitors in this story: Andrew and Dean/Robby.

Andrew, well, he’s a total scumbag and not important to rehash about and Dean/Robby is an old flame from Maggie's past that never left her heart.

How will things all turn out? Will Clara’s turnaround of feelings for Leo have any effect on him?

Who will Leo choose when Maggie starts realizing that she may like him as well? Or will Dean/Robby come in and sweep her away?

Read and you will find out!

My thoughts: He Belongs to Me was a solid, good read that alternates between both Maggie and Clara’s POV’s. At first, it was a bit confusing and overwhelming but after the four chapters or so I had gotten a hold of it.

Normally, I hate hate hate love triangles because of the angst and drama over fighting over a guy/girl but this one was different and wasn’t even actually a love triangle at that. It was more so, the characters trying to confront and acknowledge their feelings and take action of it.

My only complaint though about this story was a bit anti-climatic in my eyes. Here, I thought there was going to be a whole lot of drama and a climatic build up but there wasn’t really any of that.

And also, Clara’s ending. I mean, Maggie got a bow with a tie on hers so why did Clara’s feel a little short. Hmmm, maybe it’s because I just wanted MORE! Lol.

Anyways, a great story that normally would have given me a lot of trepidation but was fun and engaging!

I received a copy of this book from the author, in exchange for an honest review

A great debut novel! It has everything you want in a romance novel!

As a twin, I can greatly appreciate this book. And boy, did I appreciate it. I loved it actually. As I was in Florida reading through my emails, I got one for this book. And when it said they were twins and they fell for the same guy, I knew I had to read it. I also knew that from the beginning I would love it. I fell in love with it - or should I say, Leo.

Twin Maggie Ryder was the "good twin" and was obedient to her father and had respect for everyone and everything around her. If someone was rude to her, she tried her best to not be rude or snarky. She was best friend's with Leo Maddox since they were kids. She never really though of him in a sexual way or boyfriend way, but when she finds out her sister Clara and Leo went to New York together, she gets furious. She also met a guy named Dean/Robby, a guy from her past. And that's Maggie's story.

Twin Clara Ryder is pretty much the opposite of her good sister. She's the "bad twin" as someone likes to say to her in the book. She has a snarky attitude and doesn't take crap from anyone. Her and Leo have hated each other since they were kids. Or so they thought. When they go to New York together, feelings get thrown in and this makes for a fun and romantic ride. That's Clara's story.

When I read this book, I felt as if I was reading two completely seperate stories - Clara's and Maggie's. Once and a while their stories would intertwine. I liked that about the book. And incase you didn't already guess, the book is dual point of view from both twins. As I mentioned above, I fell in love with Leo, much like both of the twins did. Dean/Robby was incredibly sweet too, but I prefer the bad boys. Plus, Clara and Leo were the perfect match and I am definitely Clara between the two twins.

I sort of felt as if this story was mostly Clara's in the beginning of it, but as it ended I found I missed Clara's story, as it focused more on Maggie. I also felt as if Maggie got a perfect, sweet, tied together ending, whereas Clara's wasn't as sweet. I'm not saying I didn't like the end, but I would have loved to have maybe one more chapter for Clara so we can see the end for both twins.

Oh, and this book isn't much of a love triangle. I know someone who is hesitant to read it because they don't like love triangles. Although it seems obvious who is going to end up with who, it's still a fantastic read. This book had me laughing so loud I got a few strange looks from people, but it was definitely worth it!

All in all, I absolutely adored this book and fell in love with the story and drama running through it! It's a must read for New Adult fans! This book has to be a hit!

I had so much fun reading this.. The story really "sucked" me in and i enjoyed it immensely.. It's not over dramatic, in contrary it's easy to read, fun and overly has a possitive vibe..

I liked Clara and Leo together right from the start and their story was so cute and romantic. They are not really rivals and all this antagonism between them comes from their feelings, which are hidden for far too long.. She is a little weird and a rebel and he is sarcastic and distant, but they work together just fine..

Maggie is another thing alltogether.. But i also liked her so much, and her story was very vibrant and endearing.. The exact opposite from her sister, preppy and daddy's little girl she is confused when her best friend falls for her sister and at the same time her own big love is back in her life..

The Verdict: It's a good New Adult book.. One of those you can read for pleasure on a slow day.. Filled with interesting characters, smiles, some needed drama and second chances to love.. What's not to love?

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK

- I liked how finally Clara and her family resolved their problems..
- All the characters have some issues but they are adorable..
- Their father is a little overprotective.. But i loved how he cared about his girls..
- Their clover story is so amazing.. AWWWWW!
- I liked Maggie with Valerie.. She is such a girly girl..
- Dean! Oh Dean!! He had quite the story!
- The writing is good and the book flows pretty easily..
- The bracelet!!
- The email!!!! *double awwwww*
- Their kiss WOW!

Let me explain first off that I had the wonderful opportunity to beta-read this book and now it's being PUBLISHED!!! EEEP! I'm so excited for Sarah Darlington!

Anyways, I really enjoyed this book. It was so light and the tension between the characters was a lot of fun. I found myself siding with one of the twins though and therefore got all defensive when it came to the other one.
description Keep your hands off him b*tch. He's mine.

I guess one can say I fell into the trap of the title LOL.

Anyways, this book has got a wicked love triangle/square that leaves you laughing, frustrated, breathless and flushed (because not only is there one sexy hero, but two! TWO!). Both Maggie and Clara have their strengths and weakness as characters and reading both perspectives was great since you got to know them as people instead of just characters. You learnt about their motivations, flaws and driving forces. Sarah did a wonderful job at creating two protagonists who were twins, yet had such distinct voices you could tell who was talking without being told.

Love interests: Dean & Leo.
Dean was great. I think he truly meant well with everything that happened and I felt bad for him at times, because I thought he deserved better than what he was getting. Anyways, I'm really really happy with how things turned out for him.

Leo... oh Leo. What a ... sweetheart. Wait. Did I just say 'sweetheart' when in the synopsis it sounded like he was an alcoholic douchebag? Yes, yes I did. To find out what I'm talking about... well you'll have to read it.

So buckle up readers and get ready for a ride that'll get you riled up with drama, catfights and a whole lot sexiness.

Loved this!!!!! Must read! :)

This novel is dual narrative between identical 21-year-old twin sisters. Summertime. They're in between their junior and senior years of college. And it's basically two separate stories in one.

Maggie--the story starts with her and she's desperate. Desperate because she just found out her sister is dating her ex of four years and will be bringing him as her date to their dad's big party. She marches into a dive bar and convinces a local hottie to be her date for this one night.

Clara--her stories starts and we learn she's only dating Maggie's ex for revenge purposes. There's way more to Clara than the hard exterior she shows the world.

Leo--(not the ex, Maggie's friend and another party goer) we meet Leo in chapter 3. I kept picturing him as Chuck Bass. The twins grew up in a privileged world, but Leo more so. He's moody, drinks a lot, maybe even kind of depressed, and a little mean. But that's just the Leo he shows to the world. I loved Leo and how deep he was a really sweet guy.

Both girls end up with someone---so it's not that much of a love triangle but instead a love square! It was an awesome, light, feel-good read and I liked the author's humor. There were some very surprisingly funny scenes! I think it would make a perfect beach/vacation novel. Since its fast, light, fun, and romantic at its core.

It's it weird that I want the dad and Anita to have their own story??

5 stars!

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Maggie and Clara are identical twins with completely different personalities. Maggie's the good one while Clara's more rebellious. Dean, a boy from their teenage years, comes back into their lives. A boy, now a sexy MAN, that both sisters loved. But back then, Dean chose Maggie. While Maggie is working through her possible feelings for Dean, Clara finds out that Maggie's BFF, Leo likes her. Really likes her! He's tried not to. He's been brutally honest, hurtful and mean to Clara. Then out of nowhere Clara realizes she might like Leo back.

Obviously, Maggie isn't happy about this! Is it because its her "annoying sister" Clara suddenly liking Leo back or is it something more? Does Maggie care for Leo more than she thought? But what about Dean?

I LOVED this book from the very first page to the last page! Both Dean & Leo were both sweet and sexy and so likable. (In real life, Dean would be my Dream guy!). And both sisters POVs were fun to read. Some readers might like one twin more than the other but I liked so many different things about both of them I couldn't choose one.

I recommend this book to EVERYONE! Especially, if you are looking for a really sweet, romantic love story.

5 amazing stars!

He Belongs With Me follows the story of Maggie and Clara. Maggie and Clara are identical twins, but they don't get along at all!!!

Maggie used to Date Andrew, but now Andrew is with Clara. Clara is only with Andrew because she wants to get revenge on him for cheating on Maggie. Maggie, is not aware of Clara's plan and wants to make Andrew jealous! Enter Dean, who turns out to be Robby, who used to be in love with Maggie. Leo is best friends with Maggie, who hates Robby/Dean and may be in love with Clara.......Are you confused yet???

As confusing as this may seem, this was actually a really fun book. I enjoyed watching both girls fall in love. The dual pov's from Maggie and Clara were great. This was a fun, light read with a little drama, but a lot of moments that just made me want to laugh! I think the story wrapped up pretty nicely. My only complaint is that I wish we could have gotten a little more from Maggie's ending.

Overall, I found this to be a really enjoyable book and would definitely recommend it.

~arc was given to me for an honest review, and I am ever so thankful~

Clara: "Oh yeah, for the record, he most definitely belongs with me."

Maggie and Clara Ryder are the twin daughters of Golf's golden boy, Reed Ryder. Reed and his best friend Leonardo Maddox heir to the Maddox Hoetel billions created the ultimate golf getaway. This getaway turns into Clara and Maggie's existence. They live there work there etc. Leo is Leonardo's only son, he is every definition of a poor little rich boy, well from the outside anyways. Having lost their mothers when they were young Leo and Maggie became the best of friends. Clara well not so much always the outcast. So what happens when both sisters find themselves falling for Leo? Oh and then if that were enough let's just throw in a beautiful bartender named Dean!

Maggie: "Then a very stunning and terrifying realization hit me like a punch to the gut. Somewhere between yesterday and today, I'd developed feeling for Leo Maddox.

Maggie is the "good twin" she embraces her life. Loves it. She and Leo are the best of friends, he is the ying to her yang. They have there only little world, even there own language. Neither had ever considered anything but friendship between them. Even if everyone around them thinks they'll end up together. Maggie finds herself falling for Leo when she finds out that he takes a trip to New York with her sister Clara. Maggie is very confused because she also has feelings for Dean a very very swoon worthy bartender, whom she has a past with. I don't want to go into many more details about Maggie's story because I'll give it away. I loved Maggie. She seemed a little self absorbed at times but not enough to hate her. And honestly given her upbringing you can't really hold it against her. She is beautiful and kind.

Clara: "Leo and I were about as different as two people could get and we didn't want any of the same things out of life. He wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, and I wanted to run like hell from anything even remotely resembling my father's footsteps."

Clara is the exact opposite of Maggie. And honestly my favorite of the two. She doesn't want anything from her father. She isn't looking for love, has never been in love, is anti everything. I didn't like Clara at the beginning of the book but she grew on me quickly. Everything she did, she had a reason for it. Her own reason which may have not looked right to others but she didn't care. Clara was shocked to find herself falling for someone and even worse for it being Leo. The man who could shred her with his words. She doesn't know how to react or how to feel. Her heart has always been set on Arizona. So which will she chose? And more importantly will Leo chose her?

Leo: "I wish all my vices could be helped so easily."

This books was so good. Go buy it. Looking at the cover drew me in completely. This book is told in dual pov of Clara and Maggie. It's basically two different books in one, the way it is told. It's easy to follow and if you don't like love triangles it isn't really a love triangle. I don't want to give away anymore than I already have. This is easily one of my new favorite books and I did not only leave with one book boyfriend I left with two! Sarah Darlington, did an amazing job creating an amazing cast of characters and I loved them all!

I am stunned and delighted! This was such a good NA Contemporary Romance! First off we have Maggie and her quest to find a last minute date which was very fun to read by the way! Then we have smoldering hot bartender Dean... Yeah. Loved that part for sure. So the book begins fabulously drawing you in from the very beginning and drag you along through each crazy twist and turn. It had me laughing along the way and swooning in between.

The characters are great and well developed and easy to imagine too. I love Maggie but Clara is just my kinda bad arse chic! Though I admit in the very beginning I did want to wring her neck until everything got more complicated and we find out little miss "rich bitch" isn't made of stone. I loved the dynamic between Maggie and Leo alot. Best friends is always a fun relationship to read especially when things get all twisted hehe! Every character including dear old dad was believable and well written. I heart Dean to the moon and back, he was so wise I guess with his advice for Maggie but it left me stunned.

I loved the entire Clara and dean thing because of their relationship prior to the very interesting turn things took! It is a twisted tale that surprised me time and time again. The plot was excellent and I thought for sure it was going to love triangle my brain to death but surprisingly that was not the case and it was refreshing! The storyline moves at a great pace and I can't tell you about some of my favorite parts because that would spoil your fun if you plan to read it but OMG I was in stitches for alot of this read!

I really would read this book again and definitely going to recommend it.

My rating is five of five stars. I just couldn't see giving tit anything less!

I want to thank Sarah Darlington for including me in the tour and I just wanna say, if you wrote more about Maggie, Clara, Dean & Leo I wouldn't be mad at ya! LOL This was a really good read!

Rolled on the floor laughing the entire read!

I loved this book. It carried a fantaztic sense of humor throughout the entire read. I found myself busting out laughing, sometime in not so appropriate places. lol I even have to give you total props Sarah for mentioning Ian. That made me smile for a long time.

The twins... what can you say about them. Well, they are a lot more alike than they would like to think they are. their easy bantering with their friends proves that much. but they have drifted apart like so many other families do. Each had their moments... hahahaha PEPPER SPRAY MUCH!

Leo, well now he is just yummy. The wounded boy, turns to a wounded man. He pretty much runs his grandfathers company now and is so busy that he barely has time for anything else.

And Dean, well he is just as yummy. that is one of the things I loved about this book, that I had two hotties to swoon over.

This book is a must read. With comic humor and the yummy goodness of the guys involved, you'll be wanting more. I WANT MORE!

I was able to beta read this book and I was hooked immediately on the first chapter with Maggie's introduction. Every page, every chapter kept my interest and I overall loved this book. Not a dull moment for me.

This is the first book I've read with a POV of 2 sisters. It was a great idea and turned out amazing. I liked all the characters but Leo and Clara were my favorite. I just couldn't get enough of Leo!

2 girls + 2 guys + a little bit of drama = a sweet, charming and overall hands down great book! I recommend to all! :)

He Belongs With Me is a dual POV written in both Maggie and Clara’s point of views.

Maggie and Clara Ryder are identical twins who couldn’t be less alike. You always hear about how close identical twins are and how they special bond, well that is not the case with Maggie and Clara. They grew up in a life of privilege in the mountains of Virginia where their pro golfer father opened up an exclusive golf course and country club. The girls grew up with Leo Maddox whose father opened up a luxury hotel on the property.

Maggie, the “good” twin, never gets in trouble and always does what she is asked. She loves working for her father at the country club and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Leo and Maggie are best friends even creating their own language/code words that only they understand.

Clara, the “bad” twin, is misunderstood and her family never takes the time so get to know her and always just assume the worst about her. With her unique style and lavender hair they assume she is just trying to rebel and start trouble when really that’s just who she is. Unlike Maggie, Clara hates working at the club and can’t stand Leo since he has been nothing but cruel to her, until the night when she hits him with a golf cart and he starts acting different towards her and she starts to see him as more than the boy who has always been mean to her.

Leo has gone about his relationship with Clara all wrong, but now he is determined to make it right and prove to her that he is not the asshole he always has been and is worthy of her. Maggie had no idea Leo felt that way about her twin sister and now thinks that she is in love with Leo and is determined to make him hers. Who will Leo end up with, Maggie or Clara?

I LOVED Clara and reading her POV’s. Even though everyone was mean to her and she acts like she doesn’t care about anyone, everything she does it to protect those that she loves. She might not always go about it the right way but she always has good intentions. I absolutely loved Leo and Clara together and

I found Maggie extremely selfish and I hated the way she treated Clara. She never took the time to understand why Clara did the things she did and constantly threw her under the bus. I felt like everything she did was because she wanted everyone to herself and didn’t like that Clara started getting more attention. I’m glad that she did redeem herself by the end of the book.

I wish we could have gotten one more chapter about Leo and Clara but all in all I really enjoyed this book. It’s a sweet/fun read that captures your addition to the very end. I loved that everyone got their HEA and would recommend this book to everyone!

I’m not too proud to admit it, y’all. I was ninja’d by this book.

I enjoy the occasional love triangle or NA tug-o’-war over a boy, but only occasionally. And I had myself worked up that this was what this book was going to be.

It’s so NOT what this book is.

I’ll tell you what this book is. This book is an education in not judging anything on face value. Not books. Not people. Not relationships.

Slightly estranged identical twins Maggie and Clara are the heroines of this book, and what Sarah Darlington does to highlight their mistaken impressions of each other is brilliant. The supporting characters – their doting, misguided father; Maggie’s childhood best friend, Leo; the mysterious stud-muffin Dean; the adorably Southern Anita (who I picture talking exactly like Arlene from True Blood) – don’t see them as they see themselves, which is genius, and the twins don’t see each other as they are, which is tragic. The book’s hook, “he belongs with me,” can apply to a number of the relationships in different ways depending on which twin you’re talking about.

Absolutely brilliant.

There’s a bad girl who’s really a good girl despite her prickly exterior, a naughty girl who’s just sweet enough to get her heart trampled on and not give up, and two love interests who are also not at all as they appear. Sexual tension abounds even though there is surprisingly little sex in this book. It reads like a novel with way more sexytimes, and that’s a tribute to Darlington’s well-crafted frissons.

I would love to know where the deep rift between Clara and Maggie started. It was never explicitly mentioned, and I can’t say that it matters for the story, but since they’re identical twins (who are generally quite close) it did pique my interest.

Little touches like impulsive hair-dying, middle-of-the-night hijinks, and sleeping in your car because you’re too unsettled to be anywhere else make the tone just right for a New Adult read. These are the moments that you roll your eyes at when you’re forty but remember in your bones from earlier days. That’s the magic of a well-written NA book, and this one has magic in abundance.

*** 3.5 Stars ***

This was a cute story. After reading the first two chapters you go in thinking you know the two girls and are probably already choosing sides - but you're probably choosing wrong! Two twins, who have been clashing their entire lives because of different personalities, oddly enough seem to find the same men attractive. Maggie is down to earth, classy and responsible. Clara is spunky, eclectic and a little more lazy with it comes to taking responsibility seriously. But oddly enough, it's actually Clara who is more protective of her twin and not the other way around.

I found Clara captivating. Her story was so raw and honest I could see why Leo always secretly longed for her, waiting like a wallflower for her stubborn ass to see the light day already. I actually found myself rooting for the pathetic train wreck that is Clare's mentality, who's been planning her escape from these people since childhood.

So why only 3.5 stars? Maggie. Had this just been Clara's story, I probably would've 5 starred it. It wasn't that Maggie's story wasn't interesting to read, it's just that it seemed sorta flat compared to her sister's. Where I felt like I got to know the raw, internal workings of a misguided, semi-neglected twin with Clara, I didn't feel that way about Maggie. With Clara, I got to watch as she put the pieces together and realize her attraction to Leo wasn't all of sudden, but something that had been building through the course of their lives. Maggie? A boy who stole her heart when she was younger comes back for her, baggage in tow, and she more or less accepts it and is happy. Which is good, but I guess I longed for that boy to put in a lot more effort into the chasing since he uprooted his life to finally makes his way back to her. Instead, he kinda sat back and just awaited her decision. And I guess I expected her father to add a little friction to their relationship, given the way that boy was kicked out of their lives to begin with. Maggie's story came together like a pretty little bow. Clara's bow, albeit tied after awhile, looked like it had been yanked, stretched and shredded by the family cat.

Read it. Clara's story makes it worth it alone.

Maggie and Clara are twin sisters and a total opposite. And there's hottie Leo, spoiled rich brat who is best-friends with Clara and enemies Maggie. Things get messy when they both fall in love with Leo. And there's another hottie name Dean, who broke Clara's heart in the past.

Clara heard the rumor about Andrew, who repeatedly cheated on her twin sister, multiple times. Now Clara is on a mission to have Andrew fall for her and when that happens, she'll crush him like no other. As for Maggie, she wants Andrew to be jealous so she pretends to be with Dean to see his reaction. Clara is falling for Leo, but to make things even more complicated, she also has feelings for Dean. Wouldn't you love to know who ends up with who?

This was one chaotic ride, but I loved it. I just wish that Clara and Maggie had their own book. The good thing about is that you get two book boyfriends that are freaking hot in one book. I enjoyed the sweet read and all the drama that came with it. I am looking forward to reading more of Sarah Darlington's books.

I was told to read this book by my sister because she liked it so much. So I figured I might as well give it a go.
This book was alright, nothing to take seriously and I expected more 'get to know' type of romance instead of straight to the sex. I wished there was.
I am a twin myself, so it was a little easier to relate. I found myself to be more like Maggie and Clara annoyed me.
!!!Some spoilers ahead!!!
The insta-love Leo had for Clara seemed very random and not very true. It felt fake and him seeming to start practicing celibacy for Clara before they were together?
Doesn't seem very likely.
Dean trying to get Maggie to believe that she loved Leo and that is why she can't be with him? Again, very unlikely.
Dean having a child? Then of course, Maggie believes that right after they couldn't be together, that he slept with someone else. This was annoying and seemed like a random sub-plot.
Clara always leaving and avoiding Leo was normal in her routine. Then, randomly, she started having internal battles about Leo. RANDOM! No dreams required.

I was given this book to read in exchange for an honest review...
I was completely hooked by page 1...like had to force myself to stop reading so I wouldn't be a complete waste at work the next day - hooked.
The story is written from the point of view of twin sisters that barely get along and have completely different personalities. The story is a crazy/sexy love triangle that takes you on an emotional roller coaster trying to figure out which character your rooting for. By the end I am pretty sure I loved them all! I loved every minute of it and will definitely be checking out more books by Sarah Darlington.

Twin sisters, Maggie and Clara have led a financially secure life - their dad is the owner of the local country club and also a big name in the professional world of golfing. They've spent their childhoods with Leo Maddox, who's Maggie's best friend and Clara's arch nemesis.

The relationships that each girl builds with Leo and Dean are swoony and full of wit. It was rare in this story for me to go more than a few pages without grinning.

I absolutely loved Leo Maddox in this book!!

Overall, this book was entertaining and sweet. I would definitely recommend it for a feel good read!

It was a surprisingly lovely read for me. The reason I refrained from giving this book 5 stars was because of Maggie. I did not care much about her. She was annoying. I did not understand how she was the 'good girl'. Now, Clara was supposed to be the 'bad girl'. But in my opinion she really wasn't. A bit rebellious but I found her likable. And Leo, he was endearingly sexy. I actually like them together. I would like to read about them more.

A "HOT" 4.5 Star Debut Novel

"What will you use the clover for?" "Because, I'm going to ask you to marry me one day, Clara. And I'm going to need all the luck in the world." Clara & Leo

"You liked my red dress?" "You in that dress...it's been haunting me. I used to have all these expectations about what it might be like to see you again after so many years of missing you. Then you go and exceed every single one of them. It nearly knocked me to my knees when you walked into my bar-so sexy and confident-in that dress. I'd like to see you in it again" Maggie & Dean

What an Amazing debut novel. I really loved everything about this book. This book is told from the POV's of identical twin sisters, Maggie and Clara. They are complete opposites. Maggie is the good girl and Clara is the wild child. They don't get along and are always butting heads with each other. They grow up in a small town where they are well known. They are raised by there (Pro golfer) father, who is very loving, kind and protective of his girls. While growing up in the small town of Blue Creek, they grow up around the very wealthy Maddox family. Who have a son named Leo. As the years go by Maggie and Leo become best friends and practically inseparable. They do everything together and are always there for one another. While Clara always felt like the outsider. Leo through out the years continued to pick on Clara and vice versa. They were always arguing and seemed to hate each other. Maggie, Clara and Leo have gone through a lot together and continue to stay in each others lives throughout the years. I loved Clara and Leos relationship through out the book. They are very entertaining to read. Their bickering and comments to each other were funny. The times when they were serious, broke my heart and made me love them even more. They both have to work through their feelings for each other to realize what is to become of them if they continue down this road of starting a relationship after so many years hating each other. Clara through out the book goes through an emotional rollercoaster. She is up one minute and down the next. Just when you think things are starting to go good for Clara and Leo, it goes in a downward spiral leaving Leo a mess and Clara more confused then ever. But in the end they both end up where they are meant to be. I am so happy with both of their outcomes. They both deserve it. The second relationship that I loved was Maggie's and Leos. They grew up being best friends. They were always there for each other no matter what was happening in their own lives. Maggie felt safe and comforted whenever she was around Leo. She could tell him anything and know that he would listen and be there for her. Leo was very protective of Maggie. He always made sure she was happy. But their relationship gets a little rocky when she finds out from Leo that he has feelings for her sister Clara. Which makes Maggie start thinking more about her feelings for Leo, wondering if what she feels for him is more than friendship. Then once the hot, sexy, sweet and protective Dean comes into the story, it becomes a free for all. When Maggie is first introduced to Dean she using him for a date for a party her dad is throwing. She doesn't know who is. She believes when they first meet that is the first time they have met. But once they get to the party the truth comes out on Deans true identity. She can't believe this guy is the one that broke her heart so many years ago and she has tried to block him out of her life so much that she didn't even recognize him. Dean being her first love and suddenly walking back into her life, she has no idea what to think or how to act. Her feelings for him start to resurface while at the same time trying to figure her true feelings for her best friend Leo. I have to say that Maggie and Deans relationship was my favorite. Something about Dean had me rooting for him throughout the entire book. They had such great chemistry that I felt everything they were feeling and then some. But along the way Maggie starts wanting questions answered about why he never came back. Then Dean reveals a shocker that nobody saw coming, which starts making everyone question his motives for coming back. The scenes between Maggie and Dean were sweet, funny and all around hot. I always left wanting more of them. They really deserved everything they got at the end. I couldn't be happier. This book definitely kept my interest. It was very different in so many good ways and very entertaining. I definitely recommend this book. I hope you love it as much as I did. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars was because I wanted more of Maggie and Dean. I would love for them to have had more time together.

Thank you Sarah Darlington for sharing Maggie's and Clara's story with us. I enjoyed every second of it. Can't wait to read your next book.

I didn’t expect much from this novel, but ended up with a wide grin on my face, and yes, I’m still giggling from that letter. Totally unexpected, it got he hooked, confused, frustrated, swooning, and in love. This is one novel YOU just need to read!

The Good.
Maggie is the good girl among the twins. She was Leo’s best friend. She was the responsible one, and the practical one. The novel started with her strutting inside the bar, trying to find a date for a party. She didn’t know that DEAN that she dragged on her father’s party was someone she didn’t expect to see after six long years. Imagine her face when everyone recognized Dean but her.

Imagine my astonishment when I read her previous ‘doings’ when she was younger. Maybe I have stereotyped early on the novel… I decided to wait, and see where this all unfolds. She was confused about her feelings, and I wished to God she will make the right decision before she do anything rash. Good thing she had a practical mind, and yes, selfless heart.

The Bad.
I was prepare to hate Clara (I know! Stereotyping already!). At first, she didn’t give me the reason not to hate her – after all, she was dating Maggie’s (ex) boyfriend. But how can I? When she was just looking out for her twin? When all she wanted was to be free and not run the golf course?

I didn’t expect to love her more in the end. Not just of her impulsiveness, because despite the strong, b**tchy façade, she really had a big heart. A little afraid to take the risk when it comes to love, but when she does, her loyalty was undeniable. All her life, she wanted to run, she made a plan, fatten her savings – it was all going perfectly until she accidentally hit Leo and he swift her off to Manhattan.

So when Leo finally admitted that he liked her (despite the fact that they have been in each other’s throat for years), I was hoping that he really did like her, that he was honest about his feelings, not just playing her.

The Boys.
I thought there was just LEO, but no. There were two very HOT, irresistible men in this novel. There was Dean-slash-Robby.

I don’t have the power to resist Leo’s charm. I just knew it! Their banters, arguments were just foreplay! There was a thin line between hate and love, and Leo and Clara are about to cross it. But first, Leo has to prove that he was serious with her. THEY WERE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER. They are perfect with each other. So despite the fact that I usually love the best friend-fell-for-best friend kind of plot, I pinned for these two.

Don’t get me wrong, he really can be an a** sometimes, but he all made up for it. I love him, his grand gestures, and his smooth words. I fell madly in love with him reading the letter at the ending. I was melting!! It was just so sweet, and Clara is indeed lucky to have him.

Is there a room for another man? You just have too! Because you will like Dean. At first, I was confused about him – who is this guy? Is he bad news or good news? With his history with the family, I can’t help but be suspicious as well. But putting his past aside, he’s a likable guy too. He’s very nice, sweet, and yes, a guy you can bring home to daddy every day, except for one single secret he’s yet to divulge to Maggie.

For a debut novel, this one really, really rocked! I couldn’t put it down. The characters were pretty complex. I thought for a while I really know how will they end up or who they will end up with, then I’d be getting a different scenario, one that is surprisingly better. A total must-read, you-just-can’t-put-it-down, swoon-worthy type of novel – you just have to grab this one!
