Armed robbery, Beenleigh

FrontPolice are seeking public assistance to identify a man who is believed to have robbed a convenience store in Beenleigh this morning.

Initial investigations indicate that a man entered the store on George Street at around 8.15am walked behind the counter, where he produced a knife and made demands for money from the attendant.

The attendant complied and the man left the store, running west along George Street with a sum of cash.

SideHe is described as being of Caucasian appearance and about 185cm tall, with a skinny build and short brown hair.

At the time of the offence, he was seen wearing a black hooded jumper with a white motif on the front and back and black track-suit pants with a white stripe down the side of the leg.

Investigators from Beenleigh Criminal Investigation Branch urge anyone who may recognise this man, or who may have any other information which could assist in their investigations, to contact Crime Stoppers or Policelink.
