There's only one team in the NFC capable of matching scores with the undefeated and defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers. And that would be the New Orleans Saints, who display an embarrassment of riches on offense.

Where to begin with the offensive extravaganza the Saints put on Monday night against the outmanned Giants? Try these statistics on for size and tell me if anyone but the Packers might be able to match them:

• New Orleans amassed a season-high 577 yards of offense against New York, the second-highest total in Saints franchise history. New Orleans had eight plays of 20 yards or more, but still somehow did all that damage without a 100-yard rusher or a 100-yard receiver.

• Five Saints scored touchdowns, with two running backs (Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas), two pass-catchers (tight end Jimmy Graham and receiver Lance Moore had two each) and quarterback Drew Brees (one eight-yard rushing score) finding the end zone. Brees also chipped in with four passing touchdowns to go with his 363 yards passing and one attempted slam dunk over the crossbar.

• The Saints ran for 205 yards, threw for 372, punted just twice and played turnover-free ball. New Orleans had four touchdown drives of at least 80 yards, and another for 73 yards. The Saints opened the game with a 70-yard drive that produced no points when a fake field goal didn't result in a first down

And I totally agree with this guy. I believe the Saints are the team who can beat the Packers.

At the end of the open game we were going in for a KILL SHOT and the Pack stuffed us. They were the better team that day BUT I think there were a LOT of missing Packer fingernails after that game.

The Saints are currently the only real threat they have.

It looks to me like the 49ers (I hate to admit) have what it takes to beat the Packers as well. The 9ers defense is very good and they can run the ball well on offense. That is the recipe for winning a ball game in winter conditions in Green Bay.

The Falcons are the (only other) one I think might have a chance to beat GB if all things fell right for them.

I can imagine Vanilla Ice and the boys would love nothing better than to bounce the #1 seed right off for a little payback.

I can see ATL facing GB because I see them as the #5 seed who will beat either Dallas or NY Giants on wildcard weekend.

That could definitely happen. I only hope the Saints wouldn't have to play tem though. If they Falcons make it that far and defeat the PACKERS they would deinitely be a very motivated team and pretty damn hard to beat. The only positive that may come out of a win from the Falcons over the packers is that the SAINTS WOULD'T HAVE TO PLAY AT LAMBEAU.

I think most any team can beat the Packers if they put their mind to it and GB has an off day. Look at our embarassment vs the Rams.

Also, keep in mind how well Detroit played in the first half on Thanksgiving and should've been handedly beating GB if not for a ton of penalties.

Yes - the only team.

And for the moment, there are more teams that are threat to the Saints. I say for the moment because, notwithstanding injuries, the Saints are getting a tad better each week, almost in prparation for what is to come.

I felt last night's defence was an in-game practice session for what the Packers may throw at us.
