Why this petition matters

Started by WA Pastafarianism Association

PASTAFARIANISM IS AS REAL AS ANY OTHER RELIGION, WE DESERVE THE RIGHT TO SHOW OUR NOODLYNESS

¨The staff member present rejected my religious beliefs based on the idea that it is not a registered organisation in Australia. I continued to cite that my religion rejects dogma and therefore has no central body in Australia. She said wrongly that I must remove my head wear. I rejected this and defined religious belief as ¨a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny¨. Therefore just because there is no central church, I don't understand why my civil liberties are being rejected.

She then forcefully asked that I, after acting in a completely civil matter, remove myself from the location. I declined and asked if I could have a photo without the head wear and then retake the photo when I take this up with the department.¨

This kind of vile behaviour should not be accepted in a secular state and we believe that all ministers and believers in his noodly awe should be allowed the right to wear religious head wear.

We believe that under the constitution we deserve the right to wear ¨holy¨ head gear.
