5 high schools unite for Shakespeare Fesitval

NAS

Offering lasting proof that the language of Shakespeare isn't "old," more than 40 students from five area high schools will present "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in the inaugural Nashville High School Shakespeare Festival.

The one-time performance, sponsored by the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, takes place at 7 tonight at Hillsboro High School, 3812 Hillsboro Pike. Each school — Hillsboro, Pope John Paul II, University School of Nashville and Nashville School of the Arts — has creatively prepared a portion, combined for the first time at the event. Nashville Big Picture High School provides technical/front-of-house support. Admission is free; donations accepted.
