About 200 ANC supporters have taken seats in the National Assembly as ministers in the cabinet security cluster respond to oral questions.

The ANC members, clad in party regalia, have been bussed in from several townships around Cape Town to come and defend the ruling party against "a small minority."

This is response to the chaos caused Julius Malema's EFF last week when they staged a sit-in the National Assembly, demanding that President Jacob Zuma should explain a portion of the R246 million spend on his Nkandla homestead.

The security cluster minister yesterday slammed the EFF's conduct, saying it compromised national security and that contingency security measures would be introduced in Parliament.

The ANC members were escorted into the National Assembly by members of the SA Police Services who are stationed at Parliament as part of the VIP protection unit.

"The ANC is a majority party in South Africa, there's no way that a tiny majority can disrupt the majority party in South Africa," said one of the ANC supporters ahead of their entrance into the chamber.

Earlier before they entered the house, they chanted: "Dubula uMalema" or shoot Malema.
