OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 12, 2017) – A pair of strong performances in the post during his first basketball games in an Oklahoma Christian uniform earned Will Leinhard recognition Sunday as the Eagle of the Week.

Leinhard, a 6-foot-7 junior from Oklahoma City, played his first two seasons at Oklahoma State before transferring to OC. In his OC debut on Friday, he dominated defensively, finishing with five blocked shots and nine rebounds to go with four points in a 70-61 overtime loss to Texas A&M-Commerce in Wichita, Kan.

On Saturday, Lienhard posted the first double-double of the season by an OC player with 11 points, 10 rebounds (eight offensive) and three blocked shots in a closer-than-it-looked 80-69 loss to Cameron. Through the opening weekend of the season, he leads the Heartland Conference in blocks with eight.

The Eagle of the Week award recognizes the top performer in OC athletics for the previous week. The honor will be presented each week at least one OC athletic team is in competition.
