The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred this morning in Tallebudgera Valley.
Initial information suggests that about 8.20am, a vehicle was travelling east on Tallebudgera Creek Road when it collided with the side of another vehicle that was travelling west.
The vehicle continued to travel down an embankment, coming to rest when it hit a tree.
The man driving the vehicle, and sole occupant, was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The man driving the second vehicle was not injured.
There is no further information available at this stage as investigations are continuing.
