Jaffe and senior midfielder
Michael Hester (Seaford, N.Y.) led Chestnut Hill College (4-4-1) in a highly-competitive contest. Hester took the contest's first shot which was denied by East Stroudsburg University (3-6-1) junior goalkeeper J.B. Pahls (Honesdale, Pa.), before the Warriors answered with two strikes from sophomore defenseman Jeff Wolf (Telford, Pa.). Neither found their way past sophomore goalkeeper
James Jackson (Sewell, N.J.), who matched Pahls save-for-save until the back-half of the 84
th minute. At 83:43, a Warrior foul resulted in a Griffins direct kick from 25 yards out, 1-0. Jaffe scorched the restart past Pahls to give the Griffins a decisive edge heading to the waning minutes of the affair, where Hester kept the Warrior keeper busy with two last-minute strikes.
Wolf and sophomore midfielder Andrew McGinley (Lincoln University, Pa.) led eight Warriors who combined for 14 shots with three apiece. Pahls made four shots in the loss (3-6-1).
