SHOT Show is winding down, and it was another great day of Guns, Gear and Tactical Equipment. Here are some of today’s top highlights, expect a full review once the show is over.
The New GLOCK G40 Gen4 is Glock’s Biggest Pistol Yet
Bucking the trend from last year’s SHOT Show, where everyone was trying to go as small as they could, Glock decided to unveil the biggest Glock to date.
The new G40 Gen4, in the MOS Configuration, is chambered in 10mm and has a full 6-inch barrel. The MOS (Modular Optic System) is a specialized platform for mounting accessory optics to the slide of the pistol.
The 153BK Jungle Bolo by Benchmade
Benchmade unveiled their new 153BK Jungle Bolo which is a large, full-tang chopper with a 1095 spring steel blade. It’s expected to retail for $125.
The Leatherman Tread QM1: A Watch that’s actually a Multi-tool
Leatherman introduced the first ever multi-tool that can actually be worn as a watch. I’m usually pretty skeptical of these types of gimmicky items, but this thing was actually pretty cool, and felt like it could take a beating.
It’s made with corrosion resistant 17-4 stainless steel links, with each link having two to three functional tools. The tools include things like a cutting hook, hex drives, screwdrivers, box wrenches, and a carbide glass breaker. It’s expected out in September, with a bracelet only version hitting the marketplace in May.
SOG Seal Strike
I’m a big fan of the original Sog Seal Pup line of knives, so I was excited to see Sog’s newest Seal release, the Seal Strike. It features a partially serrated 4.9 inch blade, made with AUS-8 stainless steel.
Ruger 22 Charger Pistol – Takedown Version
I love shooting my 10/22, so I can’t wait to get my hands on one of the new Ruger 22 Charger Takedowns. At only 19.25 inches long, this little thing looks like it’s going to provide hours of fun out on the range – especially now that .22lr ammo is starting to find its way back on to the shelves..
