The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team put three goals on the scoreboard in the second half to overcome a 1-0 halftime deficit in defeating city rival Hartwick College today. Junior
Hannah Hayward (Glens Falls/Glens Falls) led the offense with a pair of goals to lead the Red Dragons back, as they have now won four of its last five games to move to 10-6 overall on the season. The loss for the Hawks dropped them to 4-11 overall.

Hartwick got on the scoreboard early in this one, as Mckenzie Bond deflected a Maxine Dunn shot past Oneonta goalie,
Tess Tracy (Liverpool/Liverpool), in the third minute. Despite outshooting the Hawks, 13-4 in the first half of play, Oneonta went into halftime trailing 1-0.

Hayward very quickly got the equalizer for Oneonta just under two minutes into the second half with an assist from
Sierra Earle (Baldwinsville/Baldwinsville). The play was set up on a penalty corner, as Earle passed to Hayward who managed to get a shot between the legs of Hartwick goalie Yanna Boggio.

In the 53
rd minute, Hayward struck again with an unassisted goal that would turn out to be the eventual game-winner. The goal for Hayward was her fourth of the season.

The final goal of the game came from senior
Andrea Day (Greene/Greene), who scored her team-leading 15
th goal of the season. Day took a pass from sophomore
Bailee Barrett (Camden/Camden), which had her 1v1 with the goalie. Day moved around the goalie before putting a shot into the back of the cage.

Day's goal pushed her to 37 points on the season, which is a collegiate career high. The goal was also the 51
st of her career and moved her into fourth all-time on the career points list with 121.

Junior goalie,
Krista Servedio (Shrub Oak/Lakeland), played the final 35 minutes today and picked up her second win of the season.

Oneonta will have the weekend off before finishing its regular season at home next week with a pair of games. The Red Dragons will face Utica College on Wednesday and Rensselaer next Saturday in the finale.
