As employees do we learn from our mistakes and storms which come our way or blame someone for creating the storm ? As Managers or leaders, do we take the learning from the pain and move on with more resilience or are trying to find a scapegoat in office to take the blame. Character is built only when one learns to show up after every failure in work, after every missed deadline, after every missed opportunity and working relentlessly forward by learning from each mistake and letting that mistake be your teacher for future efforts. GIVING up as an entrepreneur is not an option but as an employee is always an option. Be prepared to work hard so that no mistakes are made but learn to relearn from the mistakes that happen. It painful but gainful in the long run. Beautifully said Jensen Huang!
Having seen my share of pain in my entrepreneurship journey, I used to say that I would never wish the same to anyone. But Jensen Huang is absolutely right. It's that very excruciating pain that builds character which then helps you do things no one ever thought could be done.

When I restarted working , from an architect to being as an educator, I thought I would never be good enough with children or have so much patience as I had seen my mother as a teacher have so much patience while teaching kids. Then I started working in media where I didn’t even know what PR meant, How to interview someone, or how to organize an event and I kept self-doubting myself at each step. I had created great events with so many external forces working against me or with me. The only thing I learned over my career and as an entrepreneur is to give 120 percent - I would work 10 hours trying to understand what would work, and how it works, talk to endless people to get their insights on media, research for hours, and build new connections. It is a hard-earned success and an equally hard-worked life !! But it’s all worth it. Never fall short of the expectations of yourself - it’s all that matters!
I guess one of the reasons I connect so deeply with this platform is that I relate strongly to the kind of journeys that many of you are on. Despite how different my world may seem to yours, what it’s taken me to get to where I am, is not very different from what it’s taken you to get to where you are, or want to be. In our careers, we need so many different things to align, for an opportunity to work out. You need to be at the right place at the right time. You perhaps need the right kind of people to show up and support you. You need the right kind of skills. And yet in the moment of truth, you need all that and so much more to come together and work like magic. It may not be evident at the time, but in due course you’ll look back and realise how several factors came together for something good to fall into place. As a rank outsider trying to enter the movie business, my first few years were literally all about trying to make things happen. There was no strategy. I kept trying and repeating all the things I thought would help. Meeting people. Figuring out who among them I could lean on for guidance. Looking for mentors, and also encountering many who were just the opposite! I persisted and did everything that I thought was good for me. Eventually things clicked. I signed my first film Arzoo, thanks largely to some godsent angels like JP Singhal & Pahlaj Nihalani. We set out to make the movie. Each day that I shot for the film I wondered if I was good enough. Somehow we completed about 90% of that film, and I started to assure myself things were falling into place. I came back to Bombay, very excited for what lay ahead. And then the movie got shelved. Abandoned for reasons beyond my control. I thought that was it. Finished. I was young, and felt totally dejected. I was lost. Back to square one I thought. However, after sulking for a bit, I restarted. It didn’t seem like the ‘right’ thing to do, but I decided to keep trying. Maybe it was my training in martial arts that kept me going. Eventually things turned. I was signed to do two new films - Balwaan by Raju Mavani & Waqt Hamara Hai by Sajid Nadiadwala. For an outsider whose first film didn’t see the light of day, to be trusted by two different producers remains a big deal. These films did release, and did well. While they were only the start of my journey, they gave me the confidence I needed to believe in myself. Thing is, what I learned later was the reason I got those 2 films despite my 1st one not working out, is that people associated with Arzoo had some nice things to say about me and my commitment. From there on I realised there is only one thing I am in full control of, and that is what I bring to the table. I made it my mission to always be the hardest worker and most committed on any project I did. And eventually, the things that weren’t in my control, took care of themselves.
