Armed robbery, Bracken Ridge

Police are investigating the robbery of a 76-year-old man that occurred this morning in Bracken Ridge.

Around 9.10am, the man was walking through parklands on Telegraph Road when he was approached from behind by a man.

The man held a knife to the back of the 76-year-old and made demands for money.

The victim handed him a sum of cash, and the man fled the scene.

The 76-year-old man was not physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The male person is described as being in his mid-20s, Caucasian in appearance, and approximately 160cm tall.

Investigations are continuing.
